Thank you for the "void the warranty" post which seems to be requires in all threads. Also, you void the warranty on your truck if you use chains. Sure.... they'd have to catch you I suppose.
Yes. Those are within the recommendations and guidelines.I 'aint gonna read any of those posts above, too long winded. We're gonna make this a free f'ing country again. You can run chains 'till they pry them from your fingers.
I think gonna buy these chains, if you're interested in checking them out. If not, then have a good day.

There is almost nothing you can do to "void the warranty"From Ford's Lips to these pages.
They maybe meant "tire warranty".There is almost nothing you can do to "void the warranty"
If the chains damage your vehicle, the damage will not be covered by the warranty but the warranty will not be voided.
So, did you get the Alpha Trax? If so, how do you like the fit and performance?I 'aint gonna read any of those posts above, too long winded. We're gonna make this a free f'ing country again. You can run chains 'till they pry them from your fingers.

I have not, but thanks for the reminder. Snow tires are installed but it's been warm. With the snow tires, I'll only need the alpha trax for a major storm. Doesn't happen every year but when you need them, you need them. This could be the year, it's snowing right now.So, did you get the Alpha Trax? If so, how do you like the fit and performance?
I went ahead and got the AlphaTrax. I had a couple questions and their customer service was excellent. They fit well, are easy to install and weigh less than any other chains/cables I've used. Just hope they perform well, if/when needed. I'll post to this thread once I actually use them in the snow.I have not, but thanks for the reminder. Snow tires are installed but it's been warm. Nice, I also bought the alpha trax after you asked. With the snow tires and emergency chains, the Maverick Hybrid cannot be stopped! This is old post but I never saw any good answers. I spent so much time looking for good chains I figured I’d save the next guy the trouble with some information. I ended up with 2 sets of ladder chains from a great seller on eBay. One is a cam style and the second pair is a 2 link v-bar 6.5mm chain. The cam style are nice as they can be placed very tight to the tire but the 2 link v-bar chains provide little spikes for ice and more chain on the tire.Anyone have a recomendation for tire chains. I won't be getting snows until next year and chains are always good to have. It's been 30yrs since buying chains, anyone have a preferance or ones to avoid?
Could you send me the link for 235/65/17r options? Appreciate it!This is old post but I never saw any good answers. Here’s why I went with ladder chains: Since I am using them in snow and ice on an off road trail to get to my camp, cables or highway chains were a risk in terms of breaking and wrapping around something. I needed something very strong in case a rock got stuck or I spun them too hard.
so, let’s talk ladder chains. unless you have 225/65/17r tires, actual 5.5mm chains with a 7.9mm cross link will be a very very tight fit in my opinion. There is a section of plastic behind the rear tires that has only an inch or so of clearance for the links. To be clear, 225 tires will work with these style chains but 235 and up might not.
If you have bigger tires than the 225 you can still get cables or Simon’s pattern chains like the ones peerless sells. Also, the 5.5mm chain with 7.9mm links should work on 235 tires. It’s not the top of the tires clearance that’s the problem, it’s the rear back sidewall of the tire.
if anyone wants the links or sellers just let me know.
There is a seller on ebay that made these for me. They are 2 link v-bar chains (more ladders than a standard set and have to be custom made for that tire size they also have spikes for ice in addition to more cross ladders) $331 shipped. Please note they are non cam and will need at least one spider style chain tensioner but two for each tire is best. These offer the best grip and traction possible for the mavrick in my opinion. Please message the seller and talk to him first so you can be sure he knows what you want. I guarantee he will remember making them for my truck as the link below was made for my order. He will talk to you in great detail.Could you send me the link for 235/65/17r options? Appreciate it!
