Tried it with the brake on. It does move a little but the whole truck moves.
With the brake on it holds the wheels and the torque in drive lifts front of truck and in reverse pushes it down. Unnecessary strain as before actuation computer should check to see if brake is set and if so display message on dash that selected gear is invalid due to brake being set!

The electronic parking brake is automatically disengaged by the computer if the truck is in a forward or reverse drive gear and any accelerator is applied.

It has been many months since I applied accelerator with my electric parking brake engaged. Due to the loud noise when it released along with the nose of the truck being lifted 3-4" or more before pushing the accelerator I since have learned not to release it that way. The computer needs to ask driver to release the brake or do so itself prior to turning on the drive motor and/or engaging the ice to the drive train. Maybe something in mine is not functioning as designed.

This would be good customer feedback for the Atlanta Customer feedback group.

I'll get my phone into camera mode and make a video. Might try to get my lifetime "personal assistant" involved but it's been almost 40 years since she's been near a pickup, bikini, and camera at the same time. Maybe with a fresh nail job she will spring for neutral-drive-neutral-reverse closeup video loop.

Hey Snowman...

I be down, I be out.
I'm not doing it right now but I've got a Lariat hybrid and I'll check how much play the engine has tomorrow before I head out.

Figured.
Thanks.
But maybe it's optional / allowed.
(I'm kidding but my dealer thinks so.)

Nope. No matter how I got the the engine into forward or reverse while running it never budged at all.
Did you try a "power brake"?

Try pushing the gas pedal and brake at the same time?

Why would anyone do that with a hybrid? The electric motor makes max torque at zero rpm. No need to power brake, unless you want to "break" something. No pun intended.
