Mine does this also on Intermittent setting. Please update everyone if and when you get it fixed @PanchoBarrancas. I may need to make another visit to the dealer.

Last year, when it happenned first, they just did some sort of alignment and now the wipers bind and skip much less often and more gently, but it isn't completely gone. Several other members actually got their wiper motor replaced. I might eventually ask for that to be done to mine as well.

I get the little squeeky at the end on intermittent but no clunky. I turn the radio up.
Hi there – send a message to us with your VIN and approximate mileage, along with some more details about your situation. I’ll look into this for you. Thanks!

My 2024 Ford Maverick xlt is doing the exact same thing. It makes a strange clunking noise at the bottom of the wiper stoke when on intermittent.

Same here. We've had so little rain I don't get to notice it that often.

I drove through a storm about 45 minutes after picking up my 2024 XLT earlier this year and noticed that it would do this. I thought because it was a new truck it might just need to break in, but now with just over 3000 miles and a few more storms, it still does it.

This is completely normal. On the variable wipe setting the wipers travel down to the "park" position after each wipe. They don't park between wipes on faster settings so they don't do this on those settings.

On hybrid, I noticed that effect on variable too.

Goes to bottom of swipe, then slight jump down - but NOT to park position, still higher.
Confirmed because I went to Off and it went farther down completely to the park position.

But I also noticed after doing that Off, it seemed to reset, and back at variable it did NOT do it anymore for the rest of that trip. And sometimes it doesn't do it, sometimes it does.

It's like it loses position a little bit.

My '25 Lariat Hybrid also has this on intermittent, but not on steady wiper action.
