I moved from Minnesota to Florida with my Maverick. Progressive went from $800 to $2200 for my insurance. Switched to State Farm with a 7,500 mile limitation for $1400. Florida is extremely high for insurance.

Those rates are high. I'm in Florida as well and I just added my new 2023 Maverick last week and it was $557.00 and change for 6 months with Geico. I have a multi-car discount so that may factor in some.
Here in Florida, west coast
My insurance after adding the maverick is near $1000 for 6 months, includes the maverick and two more cars, maverick in the only one with full cover (and $2500 deductible). This is with Geico

That's around what I'm paying State Farm annually for my 23 XLT eco -- with full coverage. I am insuring several other vehicles through them, though.

That's where it adds up for me. Too many toys!

Can confirm, recently moved from USAA that we had for years to State Farm (with their little spy gadget that saves $100 a year per vehicle). Their home insurance was just as bad as the car rates.
I just left USAA that I've had for 20 years for Farm Bureau. Car rates were similar but homeowners was $600/yr less.
