I ordered a 24 xl hybrid to replace my 22 xl eco boost about a year ago. Looking forward to the mpg of my new hybrid but i will mis my eco boost turbo and most of my mod. Ford is giving $750 rebate and my dealer is giving $ 900 rebate and $160 price protection, that gets me to $25,475 and $22,500 trade in along with not having to pay $ 1,300 in sales tax the money works out. looking forward to a two year newer hybrid maverick in the same shadow black.

A well thought out move. I hope you enjoy it; you'll certainly enjoy the increased mileage.

If MPG is what you're after, be aware that your driving technique significantly affects your results. It took me a while to learn what works best, but I finally earned a "reported" 50.1 MPG aver 500 miles of urban trips on a recent fill-up. My overall average since day 1 is a reported 47.2 MPG. Others claim WAY better than that. Calculated actuals run about 4% less than reported. Every cold start costs a lot, as will fast starts or cruising at highways speeds where the engine may run continuously. I smile every time I gas up cuz it's likely been at least a month.

I was driving to the dealer this morning and enjoying the extra power of my eco boost turbo . thought to my self i can't give up my eco boost turbo maverick, so i called the dealer and told him i was not coming in and would not be buying the 24 hybrid maverick. It was a good deal but i had to pass. Staying with my eco boost and mods. At the end of the day i choose power over mpg.

I don't blame you for keeping that truck. It's sharp. I bought the EB instead of the hybrid because I don't drive as much as I used to so gas mileage isn't much of a thing for me now and I like the extra power of the EB engine. Plus I wanted the towing package and AWD.

Thank you, driving my eco boost is fun. I am retired and don't have a daily commute but do a lot of driving ( 26,000 miles in 23 months) . mpg is important, enjoying the ride is more important.

Enjoy your current truck. I really like the Hybrid's eCVT smoothness and find the Hybrid has plenty of power for my needs. And no schizo shift 8-speed automatic. I don't hard accelerate, except to occasionally pass someone on the two-lane roads I frequent and I have never found it lacking for passing power.

I get wanting something with power, but have you driven the Hybrid to see how powerful it is? It might be enough. Plus, filling up 50% less often is awesome!!!

I'm 58 and nearly an empty nester, so I can afford the gas, but every other week when I pass the gas station I used to stop at weekly gets me pumped. Probably the same feeling you get when you employ the "boost" in the EcoBoost engine. :)

If you haven't driven a hybrid, might be worth a test drive. Just sayin'...

I traded my 22 eco, awd XLT for my 23 hybrid XLT last year. Do I miss the boost of the turbo? Yeah, a bit, but not much. Most of my driving is not freeway, and the increase in mpg with the hybrid is great for me. I loved my eco, but I'm happier with my hybrid. Either way, you can't lose.

Yes i have driven a hybrid. We got my wife a 24 xl hybrid in december of 2023, it has 13,000 miles on it know. The maverick hybrid has ok power but to me it's not fun to drive. The best of the hybrid is mpg and that is important but for me the quickness is better.

I am glad you are happy with your hybrid. It was a difficult decision to pass on the hybrid but the correct one for me.

The hybrid is a good truck, i wouldn't have bought one for my wife if it wasn't. If you drive a eco boost you will feel the increase in power and that is what i like over mpg.

I like power too, but my cheapness wins over my desire for speed/power. :) It takes all kinds to make the world go 'round. I'm glad Ford offers what each of us likes the most.
