One complaint - not a deal breaker. The headlights offer little to NO illumination to the sides when driving at night. I guess I need to install some fog lights. My Sienna throws a nice bit of light so you can see if someone is stepping off a curb or if an animal is approaching fast from the side. My buru's fog lights do similar for me. In my Mav what's ahead of me is well lit but the sides are black as night!
I upgraded my front marker lights with LED bulbs. Big difference.

Do you have a link to the bulbs you used or did you just go to a brick and mortar store? Also did you have to "tell" the truck you changed the bulbs? I have heard that the computer sometimes gets picky if you change bulb type.

I think this is common in new cars; the beams are more focused than before. I used an LCD headlight on my Harley, and it was almost impossible to see when turning a bend in the road. They make LCD lights for motorcycles, but this was not one.

Don't want to talk to it. Never had to in 50 years of driving and don;t want to start. Knobs work for me in the truck and on dresser drawers
You obviously need one of those smart dressers from Japan that you can talk to. 😉

Each bulb was remove & replace. No programing needed. I installed them last June without any issues.

I was fine once I got my cataracts done. Plenty of side light IMO.

Wished I would have known about the really bad dash rattles. I actually knew about it but did not expect it start that early (800 miles on mine) and that it was that bad. Maybe my OCD does not help as well

Life is full of risks for sure.
How many men would marry if they knew every detail about their girlfriend, vice-versa for women?
Charge forward and pray hard every day!

Well admittedly, I did have an X-Wife that I traded in on the Lemon Law after only 11 months.
She had far more squeaks and rattles than a Maverick dashboard and her check engine light came on for no apparent reason whenever you turned a corner without giving a turn signal at least a mile in advance. The most annoying thing is that her stereo was stuck on the same old talk radio station, with reruns playing constantly and there was no way to shut it off. Either way you turned the knob, her volume just increased and made a shrill squawking sound.

Maybe I can offer a little help. I had a 23' Hybrid, XLT. I wanted the Hybrid AWD, so I ordered one when they opened the order banks. My son had a 22' EB AWD, and wanted the MPG of the hybrid, so he sold his EB, and bought my 23' Hybrid. He has a company van for work, so his MAverick doesn't get driven much. We bought a NOCO Genius2D battery tender from Amazon. It mounts right in the engine bay, we connected it to the Jump-start post, and a ground lug. He just plugs it in to keep his battery up. Yeah it's an extra step when you go to leave, or park, but it's a fairly simple solution and only cost about $40. We tuck the cord under the hood by the wiper on the driver's side, so access is easy.

I also have one of these in each my Silverado, (now it only gets used to tow our Camper for the most part), and my wife's 01' Miata, (Nice weather only car, she has a 23' Rav4 Hybrid for everyday). They work great!

I do wish my 25' had the actual buttons for the HVAC for sure!!!

This one is a tad more $ but will charge up to 3 amps and continuously maintain as well. I'm also a little partial because I was involved in the early design and production of the first generation of this product. I have several maintaining everything from "Bret the Maverick" to my wife's car and the small tractors I use for lawn and snow removal. I just replaced the 13 year old battery in my snow blower tractor last season! One is working on my Lariat Ecoboost AGM battery as I send this!

I don't have anything big but I would have appreciated a heads up on how addicted to having a tailgate it would make me. Being able to use the tailgate as quick seating or as a work bench has been a great quality of life feature for me. I've eaten lunch, rigged up many fishing rods, enjoyed some post bike ride NA beers with friends, and just casually hung out on the tailgate. It's such a small thing in the scheme of things but I think it's going to be something I look for whenever its time to replace the Mav in the future because I have liked it so much.

my old Sport Trac was my first truck, bought essentially on a whim since my neighbor gave me a good price, to replace a 20-year old Sienna that we finally wore out.

The tailgate is the reason I bought another truck ;-)
I joke, but it's true really, my favorite thing to do is drink a beer sitting on the tailgate after doing something - fish, ride, hike, backpack, canoe, haul yard stuff, any excuse.

That the dashboard rattles as bad as my TWO Mavericks did.

The only thing that would get me after buying my 2025 2.0 AWD is that Ford comes out with a Maverick ST next year
