So, I ordered the water bottle to fit the front door. I had to specify that it was for a hybrid. It turns out that they are only making 40% of the bottles for hybrid doors and they were waiting for the OKTB.

I got an email confirming my bottle order right away, but I didn't get notice that it was scheduled to be plasti-formed until just last month. Supposedly, it was going to be produced this week, but it doesn't seem to have happened. It looks like it's going to be pushed back again.

Once it's ready, they will ship it by FedEx to the UPS warehouse, then by UPS to OnTrack. Once DHL picks it up and gets it to Purolator it should be just a matter of weeks before it shows up at the dealer, where I can go pick it up.

And it will still be here before my Maverick.
so discouraging I probably will just return my XLT hybrid that i picked up Friday, luckily it was -5 degrees so I was able to retain enough moisture to get home ;)

If I drank a 24 oz bottle of water I'd have to stop an tinkle at every gas station...but since my Hybrid will only need gas once a month, I'll suffer with the water bottle problem.

I feel confident my 20oz Zojirushi (btw, the GOAT bottles...) will fit. It's like my third (or, maybe forth..🤭) arm, goes with me everywhere.

If not, first road trip when the Mav arrives is to the Glass House with a picket sign.... :p

Wouldn't complaining about his complaint be worse than complaining?

"After all, 1000 houses burned up in a wildfeire near Bolder, Colorado. Why are you on here complaining about someone's complaint? Get a life, it's a forum!"

See how that works? Any of us, at any point in time, can take any other unrelated event, and tie it to the conversation to make ourselves look like an arse. We are on the Maverick Truck Club forum to discuss the Maverick and being in the Maverick club. With the other Maverick owners. Because...it's a truck. We don't come here to hash our the horrors of everyday life, if anything we come as a distraction from those very things.

I am sorry your day is having a rough go at you. Hopefully it gets better. If you feel time is better served addressing the specific concerns you have, I'll leave you to it.

One of the wondrous things about being human is you can hold more than one thing in your mind at a time. Yes, wildfires are awful. Yes, tornadoes and COVID and syphilis and creeping fascism and let us not forget the poor tardigrades being quantum entangled. Poor things. But with all that stuff on my mind, I can still carve out a few brain cycles to think about the individual who designed the water bottle holder on a new truck.
It's OK. Really.

My only complaint is that while I waited for my truck I watched way too many Youtube videos showing me the same amazing features like an f'ing infomercial. Most of them so far have been gimmicks that do not work. Yes this is my fault for not having a social life during covid-19.

I was so upset about the water bottle not fitting in the door that I put this in the door to wipe away the tears.

Slightly related: I know many of you are old enough to remember the days when no one walked around with a constant source of hydration. I remember playing in the sun for hours, gulping warm water out of a neighbor's hose and going right back to playing. Somehow I survived without a jug of water on my person. We still can.
Used to play road hockey after school pretty often. We would play for 3h or so then run home. I was probably 11 or 12 at the time. No drinks to be had lol, although occasionally one of my friends parents (we would play on their street) would bring us drinks if it was a hot day.

I dont think ive seen kids play road hockey in years. And i dont think parents would even let their kids play. How times have changed, and im not even that old.

We played baseball in the street (1970's). When a car came we moved to the side, waited for it to pass, then continued playing. Good times.
