Thanks. I like to think I am pretty tech savvy but after about the third sub-menu on a dashboard, I start to doubt myself. I keep my truck in the garage so it is almost never necessary to remote start, but some days at work it is hot enough that a bit of pre-cooling would be welcome.
Ya know...that explains why my truck is always trying to put the air on, I guess. Most of the time, I do not have my AC on but when it is warm and I start it up, sure enough there goes the AC. I have only used the remote start once or maybe twice but I kind of assumed it would not cool unless I...
I bought this one shortly before a seven day trip by air where I knew I would be getting back in the middle of the night and sure didn't want to be stranded. Didn't end up needing it though.

My truck went into deep sleep awhile back. I was going to have it towed to the dealer but, well, long story short, a AAA driver came out and put a jump box on the battery and it started right up. The dealer checked the battery and found nothing. He conjectured an OTA update may have triggered...
Last Saturday, I went into the garage and found my hybrid dead - app showed deep sleep. I had driven it the night before so I really didn't understand it. A Triple A driver put his jump box on it and it immediately started. I drove to the dealership and they checked the batteries and found...
I had the same problem but setting up a hotspot on my phone worked immediately. But it said no update was available all the times I did it. Then one day it updated for no apparent reason. I just put this mystery the same mental pocket as the 45 minutes of chirps, clicks and gurgles my truck does...
Building up to getting my Maverick (well over a year ago) I kept saying how I was getting "this little truck." Then it arrived and my wife and daughter both said that it is definitely not little...until I parked next to a Ranger one day. Then they got it.
The funny thing about IT is when everything is working, people resent how you apparently do nothing, and when everything is broken, people resent how you apparently do nothing. The sarcastic streak this can bring out in your average IT person knows no bounds.
Trying to remember it right...I think the order was placed June 30, and I picked it up Feb 1. So, seven months and a day. It's frustrating to just sit and imagine it on a train or truck. But then there it is on the lot.
It's my first truck, although I have driven trucks for work quite a bit. I traded a Honda CR-V for this Mav, which I liked a lot. Very versatile. But the draw of a truck bed, the good gas mileage with a hybrid, and the affordability sealed it.
I've had exactly the same experience right down to thinking I had hit something slowly entering a parking spot. Come on, Ford. Figure this out already.
I bought my hybrid from Berglund Ford in Salem, VA. Completely transparent from the beginning and it all went well. They were really cool dealing with a minor service issue earlier and I hope for the same with this fuel vapor recall.
I'm 5'11" and I have bumped my head a few times. I might be an idiot. No. Am.
Anyway, visibility has otherwise been good. There is a touchy off ramp where I live that gives you microseconds to see existing traffic. I nearly hit, wait for it, the only other hybrid Mav I have seen in town so far...
This entire thread might age like milk, but I sure hope not. Economies rise and fall but a collapse will make this thread look like rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.
I will point out that we are at a completely unprecedented point on economic curves we have known so far. It seems bound to...
