Too many kids now! Hence the Maverick. I just hope the Maverick holds up well enough. My oldest will be getting his license in 6 years. I think it will be a great first vehicle for him.

A buddy got his '23 a few weeks ago - had him bring it over to do a test fit in my garage. It fit but the antenna pod on top of the roof hit the garage door bottom edge when driving it in, so I will have to move the up limit so the up position will raise a couple of inches when my '24 arrives.

My Maverick is P/U number six. Strange going from small block V-8's with dual exhaust to "mostly "silent running" Hybrid. The Maverick is my favorite for a number of reasons - mostly comfort. I do miss my GMC Caballero. Coolest CarTruck ever.

I had Line-X completed by the dealer I bought it from, I believe at-cost, matching the factory price of $499. That was in OH before I drove it home.

Ah, well that’s a little different no? A two door with longer bed is usually around the same size. Plenty of truck owners don’t use the back seat.

I thought you meant legitimately smaller overall

I would've rather bought a regular cab long bed that was the same length. I'll rarely ever use the back seat, but a bigger bed would be nice.

I would also prefer an extended cab with a longer bed. My old ranger is that way and it is just right. The older I get, I want something that is easy to park and gets good mileage. Hard to beat the maverick for both of these. Honestly I'd be driving a Honda Acty truck if they were safer.

I took this a few months ago in Boston when I saw the Maverick's roof was essentially level with the Silverado's hood. They're lucky they got street parking because I don't think that lift would have fit in any of the nearby parking garages.

The Maverick's size is constrained by the size of the C2 platform on which it's built. The days of building a one-off chassis for a single vehicle are long, long gone.
