I used these guys in Wake Forest for my Ceramic Tint. They did a great job on my Maverick and wife's VW Atlas:

I exclusively use my USB with about 25,000 files on it. All of the negative things above do occur but they can also be mitigated with a few know-hows:
Turn the power off before turning the engine off. When starting, do your navigation prior to powering up the audio. Typically, I don't turn it on...
Some folks say that it's the same as stock and you can't tell the difference, but that has not been my experience. I really like them, 0 regret. They do add some bounciness to it, especially on the highway at speed when going over a bridge transition or similar, you get a pretty good launch. On...
Focusing on regen shouldn't be a priority. The goal should be for the HVB to never go empty, while also using as much 100% electric as possible. Regening is more inefficient than just coasting, but it charges the HVB... but if your HVB isn't in danger of being empty, then you shouldn't run in...
Yep, I have to bust out a 16GB USB drive and format to exFat, leaving 14.9GB free. I took the gamble and downloaded it: 12.6GB zip in about 7 minutes. Then moved it over to the USB which took about 10 or 12 minutes. Then opened up the garage and turned the Maverick on (running, on). Luckily...
Update successful. Unfortunately, the end result was a complete let down. I purchased a new home earlier this year, where the neighborhood construction had begun over a year ago. Pre-update, my actual street (and subsequently my actual street address) did not exist in the nav yet. I had to pick...
I call it "Landing" mode. Use it when you have the space and foresight to roll up to a stop. Otherwise leave it off, as you can feel it bogging the engine down, trying to regen the battery. Since regen will never be 100% of what it draws, the law of conservation of energy indicates that you are...
I was watching the map updates that appeared to be scheduled for release around August 17th(?)
Just checked via my account at ford.com and sure enough, a map update is now available. I've had my maverick for roughly a month, and I'm going to use this one time free update. If a new one becomes...
I also contacted RealTruck about the X4S a week ago. I had found an older forum post that provided the alex.pendleton@ email, so wasn't sure if it was still valid. I sent an email on a Sunday, but got no response, so I emailed the forums@ email and Santana.Lee@ responded the next day with a...
The electric motor does not turn off at any preset speed. The ECU knows how much the motor can provide and it decides how much to use and combine the motor + ICE. I would say it is more dependant on the torque requested.
The way I've worked it out is that you have a 2.5L NA gas engine producing up to about 162hp and the electric motor that produces about 29hp (specs are 191hp combined). But the electric has limitations based more on torque demand combined with "gearing" in the eCVT. You start electric. It goes...
@RoyalTeaDee I wish I was able to get out there more often. I'm getting the Bak Revolver X4S hard rollup tonneau soon, which will let me transport all my cars and gear securely. It's actually one of the reasons I got the Maverick, my stuff doesn't fit in my Nissan Juke. I've run outdoor offroad...
Well slap my a$$ and call me sally. It does read the generic plug'n'play USB devices, although a bit quirkily. I've never heard of such a thing on a vehicle OEM USB plug. Learn something new every day!
USB with music doesn't work that way, unfortunately. The system reads the file contents and plays and indexes the individual files.
CD players with uSB are for computers to use as a device with drivers. The Maverick does not interface that way.
Your best bet would be to get an FM transmitter...
Why are you arguing with me? I don't want to argue. I never said it wasn't blue. I made a joke about the orange interior because it has a bunch of orange interior parts (the console mats, the vent trim, the door handles). "Do you not see the orange in there?"
Stop being a jerk and just let...
