Compound/polish with a dual action polisher could get most of it out I would think.

Swirls it looks like. Yes can be undone. Seek pro detailer if you are unsure of diy. Some light buffing is what it needs. Not a big deal on scale of 1-10. When you wash go back and forth and not in circles to minimize.

You would be surprised how many Used and NEW vehicles on dealership lots have circle swirls on the paint just like that. As others have stated, those will come out easily with a light buff with compound! I like hand washing my vehicles because my last vehicle was actually damaged in an automatic car wash. I use the Two Bucket Method which I think is the best and easiest way to hand wash.

if you don't have a good random orbit polisher got to a pro for a light polish.
For DIY go with a fine grit polish, today's paint is thin thin

Just like this forum, there are detailing forums and tons of YouTube videos. You can DIY it for sure, just do your homework first and understand you will have to buy some tools and supplies. Or, you can hire a Pro. Might be a good time to investigate ceramic coatings and such since your truck is going to be polished and essentially prepped anyway.

What does this look like to you?
It looks like someone is looking at the paint from 6 inches away. How many people do that? Reminds me of how jewelry stores sell diamonds by having people look at them through a microscope.

Or save $400+ and just know you can't see it from behind the wheel
Absolutely. We would all enjoy our vehicles more if we just chose not to let stuff like this bother us. Admire your truck from a distance where you can see the whole thing and you're not going to see swirl marks.

The camera was 6" away.
But I took the photo because once you see it you can't unsee it. Now I see it every time I approach.

This is my first dark vehicle ever.

Almost everything I own is black.
Yes it can be fixed. Find a good detail guy and he can correct it. Most all come from the dealer that way. I have everything paint corrected at some point. Don’t sweat it. As stated ceramic coating done right helps out a lot. After the coating a quick touch less wash is all you really need. But it will protect against swirls from auto wash.
