So from my understanding, Its not necessarily screen size that matters but pixels. I'd wonder if we could swap the screen to a different one and attach the electronics to it. I wonder how big the circuit board is inside the housing.
Not without upgrading to sync4 the sync3 maxed out at 8in

Impressive work.

Not for the feint of heart.

When I go out of warranty, if I can have this done reasonably, and maybe add a front camera, I probably will.

it's all good. I really do admire the OP's work and effort on this, and then taking pics and documenting. it's a lot work with some risks.

Very cool. I love the size but I hate those HVAC controls in the screen so much. I can't help but hijack a little to express my disapproval with them existing in the screen space.

Out of curiosity, do those buttons work in the screen with your setup too? So you can chose to use either or?

And how does it sit on the bottom of the screen where it comes in contact with the dash? Is there any angle to it resting on the dash or does it clip in down there somewhere? It looks like the only way to secure it is the single middle top screw or do any of the clips still work?

Nice job. The three clips in the plastic under the monitor, that part doesn’t look so clean. So if you could make a fascia piece for that and center it…then it’s pretty awesome. Would be sick if a company made a clean retro fit like this.

Dude I'd kill for a front Camera and parking sensors up there too. So nice having those things. I miss them.

The buttons are.gone now that it's programmed properly. The bottom just kinda rests there. I'm going to try to find a better mounting solution but it's limited if I want it reversible
