I just got an email back from Eibach saying "We only had the noise on the first batch that was released in late 2022 and we've had multiple batches since that time frame. Are you sure the people you are talking to online are not from the original batch" Is anyone that had them installed in the past year hearing the knocking/popping noise when driving slow and turning? I purchased my springs in August of 2024 and installed by a shop that installs springs. Eibach is telling me that the problem has been resolved and no one else has had the problem. Has anyone else had this problem?

I have only seen this mentioned a few times - maybe twice? - since everyone has gotten the redesigned front springs.

In both cases, the person had an issue with the spring not sitting on the perch correctly, and they compressed it and re-oriented, and it was resolved.

Are you running stock wheels and tires? If not, what size tires and/or specs of wheels?

I have 245/45/20 wheels and tires and just took them off and put back the stock tires and rims for the winter Makes noise with both. Eibach will be sending me the new front springs to install

ah, since it happens with both, it's definitely either the springs are not the revised ones, or they're on the perch wrong.

I would probably look to see if there are any rub marks in the fender liner or suspension while you're in there, though.

Is there a paint mark or notch to line it up?

I'm currently having the same issue. I installed my eibach lowering springs the first month they were released, those made noise so I got sent the updated newer springs. There was no noise until about a month or two ago. There was a small clicking sound coming from the top hat areas on both sides, but got gradually got worse and worse over time. The sound is so bad now that I don't even want to drive the truck. I thought it may be some other suspension components so I got that inspected, but everything seems to be in perfect shape. Springs were installed by a professional installer, and everything lines up and is torqued to spec. Im convinced it's somehow related to the springs.

I would definitely reach out to eibach. they stand behind their products.

Thats where I stand right now too. I have the new springs(batch K/T)which will be installed next week. I'm not sure if its the springs or not but i'm giving it a try since the noise is getting worse. We will see if anything moved or a sign of binding, rubbing etc. But I can't do nothing. When I had the springs installed(the current ones), I didn't hear poping/knocking sound for the first month, then it started just like you said. Or is that by lowering the truck 2 to 3 inches just changed the height of the truck on the strut which is not factory height? I will let you know when my is done next week

Update:

Picked my truck back from the dealer and it seems like the two front axles will be replaced, as well as the top strut mounts, all covered under by my 75k mile extended warranty (that I got for free when Ford drilled holes in my gas tank during production hehe). They ordered the parts but there was no ETA on shipping date. The service advisor said as much noise as there is, the truck is generally safe to drive on.

How is Ford generally with lowered vehicles like yours? I've never owned a Ford and plan on lowering my '25 when it arrives. I know that my Honda dealership was always a pain but my VW dealership is very mod-friendly and warranties suspension components even with the vehicle being lowered.

I'm not sure, I haven't brought it in for any warranty issues. When i bring it in for general service they never say anything about it, just that they like how it looks. I will say the only bad thing about lowering is the ride quality. You feel every bump

ask a Ford dealership to install it. if they do, it's about impossible for them to blame it for random unrelated issues if any were to later arise.

99.9% of the time you have knocking noises after a lift it's because you didn't loosen and retorque control arm bolts etc at the new ride height.

Thanks for the info! Yeah the “springs only” ride is something I’m very familiar with lol! I’ve lowered almost all of my vehicles over the last few decades and I’m completely fine with the ride. If it was a sporty car I’d go full coils and sways etc. but for this Mav I’m not going to spend the cash as it won’t see any spirited driving or track time.

That’s something VW has always been good about for me - they’ve installed a few stupid-low setups of mine over the years. I’ll ask my dealer and see what they say, thanks!
