As another "old GTI guy" i'm curious as to your thoughts living with the Mav. I'm likely getting rid of my MK8 for a '25 XLT AWD Hybrid and am somewhat dreading the loss of tech, build and sporty driving. Practicality for around the city flexibility and outdoor stuff is my main motivation for...
Ah i see. If you're going to have a topper on permanently there might be a gap you could fit it in there (if it's not a flush mount against the rear glass). Or stick it right on the topper base in that general location?
I was thinking about that too. The recessed lines might prove annoying. Some isopropal, 3M VHB tape though with a bit of heat gun and I'm fairly certain that would stick until you remove it.
Saw this on Ebay and thought it was an interesting design. I could see some aftermarket headlamps and "bumper flaps" being made by third-party manufacturers to really change the look of the 2025 now seeing the headlamp extends under that flap.
They could theoretically make a larger headlamp...
No swan-neck no care. But seriously... that's horrific. In terms of aerodynamics on the Maverick... a spoiler would be the least of my worries for this brick shaped car/truck lol. To each their own as far as "style" goes.
Came in here to suggest the same as @colinl already did.
Best bet is likely a set of lightweight 18x8-8.5 and 245-255 R50 stickies.
Bridgestone RE-71RS in 245 45 18 is about as good as you'll reasonably get off the top of my head. But as mentioned, you'll be 2" lower just from the sidewall...
I was seriously considering trying to pick a set up from someone and then powder coating them white but the specs are pretty mild. 19x7.5 - likely a stock offset of +37.5 - that's kind of tall and narrow for my liking. If they were 18x8-8.5 at about 35-32... id be all over them for a swap...
Lol that's what it looks like! That said i did dig that truck.
Ok i think you might be on to something. That Tremor grill (I never looked at it b/c i'm not interested in it) looks great! Body matching that orange bar could look really good... hell, or even just silver! I wonder if the...
I wouldn't be surprised if some headlights from the factory aren't set correctly. The other evening, twilight, i had a 25 XLT across from me at a neighborhood stop sign and they were brighter than most annoying Tesla's. I was squinting and it was still blue-hour! My non-projector LED...
The turbo fans are "fine". The optional wheel would have been better as another Lobo-specific option, agreed.
The waterfall grill on the other hand "barf"! If went Lobo I'd straight trade for an XLT grill. What a doofy look that doesn't go with the rest of the modern styling.
Thatās something VW has always been good about for me - theyāve installed a few stupid-low setups of mine over the years. Iāll ask my dealer and see what they say, thanks!
Thanks for the info! Yeah the āsprings onlyā ride is something Iām very familiar with lol! Iāve lowered almost all of my vehicles over the last few decades and Iām completely fine with the ride. If it was a sporty car Iād go full coils and sways etc. but for this Mav Iām not going to spend...
How is Ford generally with lowered vehicles like yours? I've never owned a Ford and plan on lowering my '25 when it arrives. I know that my Honda dealership was always a pain but my VW dealership is very mod-friendly and warranties suspension components even with the vehicle being lowered.
I ordered one from them super smoothly on launch. Upon delivery i decided i couldn't live with the old technology. They were great from start to finish. **shrugs**
