Sunroof Option

I was wondering how many people optioned for a sunroof when they ordered their Maverick. I might have ordered a First Edition Maverick instead of a loaded Lariat, if I could delete the sunroof. The only way to get a sunroof is to order it as an ad on option. I never used the sunroofs that came on most vehicles I've owned, and would pass paying extra for one.

I was going to go with a stock XL but found a XLT with extras for a price I could not pass up - Lux package and moon roof basically thrown in. I try to avoid excess sun exposure, but I open it often driving around town on a sunny day. My convertible Maverick!

I added the moonroof when I ordered mine in 24. I really enjoy it, I use the tilt and open the back glass. Gives it a nice little breeze inside without rolling down the windows.

Nah. I've never found much use for sunroofs or moonroofs. They bring all the glare and/or noise of a convertible, with very little of the actual joy.

I dailied a roadster for 13 years and have an old TJ as a 3rd vehicle, so I get my open air driving elsewhere.

I ordered my MY25 Lariat with the tow package, AWD and moon roof options. I use it frequently with weather permits. It's so nice to open the roof and the rear sliding window to have the nice breeze flowing through without a harsh wind from an open driver's side window.

My 2023 XLT has it. I never had one in any car I owned. I love it!

I had a 2012 Honda crv for 10 years. When I was checking prices to trade/sell (wound up giving to granddaughter for college) I had to go out and look and see the roof window. Think I remember trying it several times when I bought it!

I had a sunroof on my old Lariat F150, and while I didn't open it much while driving, I did enjoy the extra light it brought in and it made for a quick and easy way to vent the heat when parked without creating a security concern. It's pretty easy to discreetly work through a side window if you can get a tool or fingers in there, but the sunroof required some pretty obvious effort to exploit in a public parking lot.

I bought my Mav off the lot, and it had the lux package but no sunroof. If I ordered from scratch, I would probably have optioned one.

Nope, I want a solid roof vehicle. I've have both and I want the solid roof and extra headroom. Solid roof gives me a better platform for a roof rack. Solid roof doesn't shake in the wind, leak water, broken motor, broken glass etc. Solid roof for the long haul.

I ordered a '24, AWD, 4K eco, without the sunroof, but my dealer called me a month later that he had a "23 that was declined with the sunroof, factory mats, AWD, 4K, eco, and it was 2K cheaper than the "24, so I bought it and absolutely enjoy it.

While I didn't order my Mav, a sunroof was on the must-have list so that narrowed down the pool of available Mavs considerably.

But I have it in my 2023 BS Badlands and my 2024 Maverick Lariat Tremor

Got a moon roof on my 2022xl. Use everytime I drive. It's hot by me, and leave it open in tilt mode for air exhaustion in conjunction with small rear manual window.

Yep, ordered one on my '22 Lariat.

Cracking it open and the rear power window at the same time creates a really nice breeze.
