I used to park my previous vehicle on the street. Then my two door down neighbor's daughter took off from their house and couldn't make it 100 feet without looking at her %&**^% phone. Bam.

Got to work cleaning out garage so I could park both vehicles in it.

Her I call them Distraction Phones Imagine that!! I don't have One and don't care if i ever get one. IMO it's why quality of Parts and other things have went to Crap.

Whew boy. If that woke me up and I saw my Mav crunched by a drunk in front of my house my Ecobee cameras would have caught the accident, and then me beating some drunk ass all across my front yard.

EDIT: And yes, driving drunk deserves an ass kicking. I've been hit by two drunk drivers, wife seriously injured in one accident.

Witnessed a third accident outside my old apartment where one driver was wasted, drinking in a gym parking lot across the street, and legit just rolled out into a 4 lane road and blasted two cars. Beer cans and beer all over his car from the accident.

He tried to stumble away from the accident and I loaded up and slapped the shit out of him harder than I've ever hit someone with an open hand in my life. He went twirling to the pavement where he got a few kicks to the mid section until he threw up on himself. Then I dragged his ass over to the curb and laid him down until the cops came.

True Drunk Drivers need their asses Kicked and I'm glad you kicked one of their asses!!

Drunk driving should be charged as attempted manslaughter. Just because he hit a car instead of a person doesn't make the deadliness of their actions any less. They just got lucky.

Happened to my daughter a few years ago Had her new car for one week and it was legally parked on the street. A driver slammed into the pickup that was parked behind my daughter, drove the pickup into my daughter's car, then the driver of the suspect vehicle backed up and tried to go around to escape and slammed into my daughter's car again. 12k in damage. The driver of that vehicle was drunk, suspended, and had no insurance. And she had one other dui and this was her fourth offense for DOSL.

So my daughter's insurance had to pay, and then her rates went up because she made a claim. Fucking scam is insurance.

And I was working at the 911 center and took the call.

Was the driver injured? I also cannot stand a drunk driver but there is a human in there too. This may be what it takes for them to start recovery!

At least in my state, Oklahoma, uninsured motorist insurance doesn't cover your vehicle, it covers personal injury. Which in this case there wouldn't be any.

Gullzway is exactly correct (at least for Oklatornado policies)
My Dad, from Okla, had Uninsured/Underinsured insurance. Got rear ended by a "foreign exchange worker" down here in Texas, who had no insurance. Dad had to pay for the repairs himself because the insurance co said it was only for bodily injury. It did not repair damage on his car.
Sucked.

The road I live on has a traffic light at the main road which is 5 lane, center lane is left turn lane. The light for the side roads is very short. If you go maybe 3 cars can turn left under green. I know if I am the second or third car in line I'm not getting through on the first green. People get to a red light. pick up their phone, then sit there when it turns green for 30 seconds. I timed it one it is 1.5 minute left turn green arrow, 2 minute straight green.

They get 2 seconds before I'm on the horn, even if they're 2+ cars in front of me. Life is too short to waste sitting behind dummies.

About a month back I witnessed NO ONE from the left of two left-hand turn lanes get through a light. 5 cars from the right left-hand turn lane went, by the time the truck behind the non-moving car was on their horn it was yellow. Car started to go then slammed on the brakes. There were 3 cars behind the truck.
