So, you're the expert? Why did you call Scotty a moron? He's a little eccentric, but a decent Mechanic. You don't know me or my history. I can't have my opinion on here, or is this just for hybrid lovers? I personally don't want a hybrid of any kind. I like the EB engines with no fkn electric...
Scotty is one I watched his video, but he was not the ones that made my mind up about the hybrids. I'm sure if you went online and ask the public about them, you will find plenty of mechanics and general people that don't want a hybrid. I've never had a gas tank blow up or catch fire, but I've...
I'm not sure I can find the articles, it was last year when I was doing my research on the maverick. I was thinking about selling or trading my 2022 F150 Lariat because it was hard for my wife recovering from cancer to pull herself up to get in, plus I don't toe a big RV now.
I know how it works, I'm sure they were talking about the switching back and forth and around town the gas engine doesn't run, but when it does maybe for a short sprint, it craetes heat and then shuts down when the hybrid starts, shutting down and starting cooling and heating, they have seen...
I'm sure they were talking about the hybrid motor attached to the engine, or is it? The starting and stopping as needed. Same with the auto stop on the other vehicles. I hate it on mine, I hit the off button every time.
I've never seen a car or truck with the gas tank mounted underneath the seat. You are aware of Tesla batteries catching on fire? I guess I can't have an opinion without starting a firestorm?
Same with the post I made about oil change frequencies, I get my info from experts that know what they...
I should have explained myself better, I'm sure the EB could have been damaged as well from being hit, I was referring to what some expert mechanics are saying, they are seeing problems with the gas engine caused by the battery switching back and forth. I chose the EB for my 2024 Lariat; I don't...
Glad I did my research and decided not to buy a hybrid. I'm hearing mechanics talk about them being rough on the gas engine, plus the added cost and weight.
With all due respect, this must be your first rodeo. if you only drive 5500 miles a year, it tells me you do a lot of around town short runs. those will allow moisture to build up in your engine. If the oil monitor is so smart, why doesn't it reset itself after an oil change.
If your vehicle is under factory warranty, they will do whatever it takes to find the problem to either deny the claim or fix it at no cost to you. If they see the engine oil hasn't been changed or has been abused, they will either refuse it or fix it, I've already experienced this with my...
I used my Ford Pass points at my local Stealer, 31K points came to around 150 dollars, I got 2 air filters, 2 cabin filters, 2 oil filters, unless I have warranty work, I won't be going back!
Great advice, with my experience with Stealer's, the first thing I did after retiring and moving to Tennessee was look for a qualified local mechanic if needed. Keep in mind the Stealer's are out to drain your pocketbook. And their oil change guy is not a high paid tech!
Last time I took my truck to a dealer was over 15 years ago, after I later found out my oil pan hex head plug was rounded and the filter was put on so tight, I had to destroy it getting it off, I said never again, the only reason I will take my new 2024 Lariat Maverick to a dealer is if I have a...
