I texted my contact at Ford and said, “I wanted a Maverick, not a mustang through my wall!”

The average driver is catastrophically shitty at actual driving. I never ceased to be amazed at just HOW bad people are at driving. At least the damage is minor and it isn't going to be a lost vehicle.
Everyone reading your post will certainly agree with it, I mean everyone. Lousy drivers don't think they're lousy drivers.

My right taillight has water in it, service has one ordered under warranty, wonder how long that will take? I have a crease in the right rear fender in front of the tire from I suspect a parking lot and has half dozen chips in the paint too. It's a truck, a tool in my opinion. Under 7,000 miles.

and then this happened. Stopped in a parking lot waiting for a guy to back into a spot and WAM! a woman backed into me. It's worse than the pictures let on. $3800+ in damages. Bad news is it will be July or August before I can get it in.

More bad news is the woman that hit me has allstate insurance and they will only pay 85% of the claim leaving me to pay the other 15%. She was totally to blame. Their adjuster said I had time to get out of the way! I'm like "are you kidding?!!" I didn't even know she was in her car until she hit me.

Yes I've already started the process. I will be out my $250 deductible but hopefully my ins. can get that back from allstate.

Oh I am so sorry. It makes me sick to look at it. I've had my Maverick one month and fear just what happened to yours.

Take her to small claims court.

My parking capabilities are worse than ever, particularly with my Maverick. It's narrow, but long. And the rear view camera is deceptive. I've never hurt anyone, or their vehicle. But I spend embarrassingly repetitive steps to own my parking space. I'm amazed seeing you full size truck guys whip into a parallel spot. Respect.
Your observation is contrary to my experience. Usually a full size truck is parked angled in a parking spot, extending the rear into a travel lane or placing the front well into the sidewalk. Most full size truck owners seem to have little regard for the size of the truck.

Used to have a family member in a wheelchair. She was always having to maneuver the chair around erratically parked full size trucks.

Remember when they used to actually fail people on driving tests? They clearly dont anymore. 50% of drivers I see have no clue about basic driving rules. I see people on highways at night using the passing lane as a breakdown lane. U turns in emergency passthrough. turns from center lanes onto single lane traffic and just cut off the drivers in the correct lane... and they don't even realize that they are doing anything wrong.
When I moved to a different state, elected to get a new driving license. Took a driving test during a reasonably heavy snowstorm. Kept the speed down to a safe limit (in my thinking) and was told I failed due to not maintaining close to the 50 mph speed limit.

Well I got my Maverick back from the body shop today and I must say they did and excellent job! The paint match is perfect and all the body lines look great. They got me in 2 months earlier than expected because all the parts came in and they didn't want them laying around so they bumped me in front of a few people (sorry for them, good for me). Hackleman Auto repair in Avon, IN. BTW, they sent me regular email updates and called one time to let me know how things were going, all in a week and a half.
