Should I just get a Ranger?

Really depends on what you're needs/wants are. For me, I have my Hybrid XL Maverick and absolutely love the 42 MPG (mix city/hiway) it's getting! Unbelievably nice truck, even with being an XL.

Needs, wants or whatever, I get it.. it just seems some are opposed to different buying options because they want what they want. Me too but why trash someone else opinions by questioning their options.

Yeah I love the Mav concept too but I don’t get the reason why you want to poopoo someone else’s options..

The Ranger is truly a great truck and a great option, is it buyers remorse for having to wait or a money thing.. yeah mpg is an issue but wtf..
Just the snobby attitude is disgusting to me..

Please let the person decide on what they want not what you want. Just a little help from friends will go a long way…

I don't like the Ranger, but next model year should address those shortcomings. Be patient and even if you jump ship, the next Ranger is worth the wait.

I had an order placed in October and I am feeling depressed. Feeling like I'm losing hope. Luckily I am in no rush, riding out the last year of my Prius lease but now I'm starting to think it's just not gonna happen.

Curious if anyone knows if Rangers are seeing the same issue as far as wait times on orders. Originally I really wanted the hybrid but now I'm thinking I could go without it. My commute is really minimal and I don't do a lot of driving.

Been tossing around the idea of placing an order for a Ranger or at least reaching out to my dealer.

Anyone else in the same boat?

Brother, I was in a similar situation. Had my Flex paid off for a few yrs so time wasn't an issue. Luckily, my dealer had a few Rangers on the lot. And I gotta tell ye, I don't really see a significant difference (or at least for what I'm doing with a truck) between the Maverick and Ranger. The Ranger is bigger, and more "truck". But if you're not using it like it's meant too, than just wait it out or get the AWD Maverick.

For me it was worth it. It's definitely a city fella truck, not a good ol boy's truck.

No. Unless you need a new truck sooner. Ranger looked old when it came back out. I’d wait for a new version. And they, MAV/Ranger are nothing alike as far as ride.

Since your not in a rush, why are you losing hope? Your Maverick will be scheduled and in your driveway. Since you don't do a lot of driving ride out the lease and stop being depressed about nothing.

we are still waiting ordered 10/21 hybrid- the Ranger gets about 1/2 gas mileage as hybrid maverick.my 2019 f-150 2.7 turbo is 20-26 and ranger is 21-26 , my f-150 was less $$ than the rangers they had,but thats when discounts were around !! now our dealer is about sticker on all, at least they are not doing the big mark up game.

Will they give you the "bend over" treatment over the MSRP?
