I am in a similar situation but my 22 ECO now has 37K miles. My 24 Hybrid rollover should be delivered next week. My sales guy said they would give me 20K for trade in for my 22 and my private offer is 3400.00 since I had originally ordered a 23 XLT. Combine the private offer and the Z plan discount, the upgrade it is too good to pass up. I think, my 22 ECO has been great and hope I don't regret letting it go.

That is a great private offer number. My wifes maverick was a 23 rollover to a 24 xl hybrid. I was hoping for a 22k trade in number.

Whenever you are together especially in the city just drive the hybrid. Im assuming your EB is a 4 WD. Save that for the your drives when both need a vehicle and for more adventurous trips. I just cancelled a trip to the Grand Canyon because of a snow storm. Just didn't want to risk it. If I had a EB 4WD I might have gone.
For trips under 50 miles we mainly use my Wife’s PHEV without burning any gas. We use the Maverick a lot for highway driving in the 50 to 100 mile range. For pure highway driving the Maverick gets around 35 mpg which is actually better than her hybrid!

A lot depends on your use case. I chose the Ecoboost because I wanted the max ability to tow. Also, I don't drive that much and when I do, it's a lot of highway so I wouldn't benefit from the hybrid's fuel economy that much. Another thing to consider is that you'd gain things like cruise control if that's important to you.

I am not towing with my maverick ,i still have my2004 f150. Both mavericks are for running around.

That APR alone is worth more than the fuel savings.
I’m also not seeing the upside since the misses already has a hybrid and it seems like she prefers to drive.
If you did make the swap you could install the added accessories on the new hybrid.

If you already have a hybrid in your driveway you are familiar with the pros and cons of each platform.
Assuming most days your wife's XL is unavailable, does the hybrid's fuel efficiency matter more for your daily needs?
In my case, my annual fuel cost was reduced from $1100 to $500 per year with the hybrid. The hybrid MSRP was less than the EcoBoost it replaced. My net gain was an up front savings of $3000. Making the trade was a huge financial win at the time of sale and each additional year moving forward.
Ask yourself how much driving you need to do with the new hybrid in order to recoup the added expense.

The APR is a big consideration and i could reuse some of the accessories. The reason i like the hybrid is the long term gas savings. At this time the short term out of pocket costs would be high.
Maverick pricing has increased each model year. Even if the interest rates come down, your short term out of pocket expense will only increase with time.
To make the change your cost difference is approximately $5000. It would take me 8 years to recover that difference at current fuel prices.
