Well I am new to the club got my 23 Maverick lariat hybrid a few months ago and have been loving it. I have been reading alot of posts over the last few months but this is my first response to one. Unfortunately it is because I just took my Maverick in with the Shift System Fault as many above and it's very disappointing that I have a new vehicle with less than 1500 miles on it in the shop. It has been there 5 days and still no answers. They claim it should be diagnosed soon. We'll see.
Just told they ordered a hybrid inverter. Sounds like it will be another week or so.

I love my Maverick but beginning to lose faith in it.
I thinking of canceling the one I ordered for my wife.

Hello all, my 23 Maverick is in the shop now for a month with the same issues. I started getting the shift sys faults, but would drive just fine. The dealer told me to keep driving it until some parts arrived, this was their first time seeing this. Well I was using the inverter with the truck running and heard the parking brake just activate, I thought that was odd. I got in and tried to release it, no go. Turned it off and let it sit for a hour and all started working. Went out to a job site and shut the truck off. Went to leave and parking brake wouldn’t release. Had to get a tow truck back to the dealer. They ordered a body control module type B located under the passenger front wheel well. They told me there was an issue of them getting wet as they weren’t sealed. The new one was an upgrade and had a new sealed box. They installed it and test drove it in the lot and it locked up and they had it towed back in the shop. Now they contacted ford and was told to order some type of module that goes on the transmission ,but it was on back order and was$2300 dollars. Ford repair told the dealer to get the transmission as it came with this new module. The transmission came in last week. The tech went to install it and found out it did not come with the module. now they overnited the module as it became available. Still waiting to see if that fixes it. Hope they figure this out soon. Only plus is I got a new bronco sport for a loaner.

Got mine back after installing a hybrid inverter. Setting in a parking lot right now waiting for my truck to reset so I can drive it. Same issue. Obviously it wasn't the hybrid inverter. I will be asking for a loaner this time and if not I'll contact ford. Maybe I should have stuck with chevrolet.

That’s bad, they must still be working on mine as I keep getting error messages all day from the ford app

Had mine back for 4 days with the new hybrid inverter and back in the shop with same issue.

Just got it back. Fingers crossed it’s working so far . Not sure if it’s the same module as they also replaced some other modules too. I’ll post the repair order tomorrow so we can compare notes. Next order is find an optima yellow top battery I can fit in the hole. They “tested “ the 12volt and said it’s good. I have many strobe lights on mine and it will kill that battery quick .

Well that didn’t last long. Was driving down the interstate and BAM!, shift sync just popped up. Drove it right back to the dealer. Wish they could figure this out. They did not put the new transmission in as it didn’t come with the module . They were able to get the module but that apparently didn’t fix anything. I’m attaching the work order for you guys to compare to.

My maverick is in for the second time with the shift sys fault as well been most of a week so far and they have no idea what is causing it. I hope someone figures this out soon.

I’m leaning towards a faulty wire harness. I’m sure some 8 year old prob crimped the pins wrong. I was going to try some zip ties and put tension on the harness where it goes into the module. One of the other post stated the tech was able to duplicate the issue by wiggle test and was able to watch it on the service laptop. This sounds like bad crimps or the pin/socket not mating correctly.

Well just told they are going to pull my transmission. Not sure how long that will take. Pretty sad this much issues with only 1,650 miles. I don't think the hybrid inverter they installed did anything. 4 days later back in shop with same issue. "Shift System Fault", "Not in Park". The last time it happened, stranded for 4 hours. This seems to be a common problem. I will update when I get it back. How many have had the transmission redone and ended up with the same problem.
