It has no index or bookmarks, so very hard to navigate through and find things. It's all PDF files, so does not have to run off the CD. Many sections, for example, require you to open a separate PDF file for each page. Not recommended.

I normally buy the shop manual; a single purchase on my vehicles tends to save me on diagnosis for a single issue. Done a copy the non indexed route and I would much prefer an indexed copy. Mounting an ISO or working through a VM for me would not be that big of a deal.

With the help these days on forums and other methods (Youtube), chasing down common problems is easier.

Yes, worked fine. (I needed one of these CD/DVD read-write drives anyway since we have about 20 years of picture archives on CD/DVD.)
Nice thing about the CD Service Manual is that you can print to PDF files and save them as you view things, then store them in a folder on your laptop.

They are a separate manual, just became available from the same source in September-$95.

Haven't needed this yet, but these wll be the factory diagrams. Helm had to wait until September for Ford to send them the final version......

Maybe you can rip the ISO to your hard drive, then mount the iso to a virtual CD-ROM, like Virtual CloneDrive.

This is exactly the method I currently use. I have two volumes I switch between for a 2003 Ranger and a 2010 Mustang. Both DVDs were ripped to ISO files. I select the one I need in Virtual Clone Drive and then launch the manual's interface.

The main service manual now shows as available @ Helm Inc. for anyone interested. It is listed for $205.

Followed the link, and the service manual on CDROM was $308, and not available until 12/31/2023.

Seems like it should come with a PC and a CD reader for that price. And not available for at least 1 year. But you can get a hybrid wiring diagram in French. Helm has not been supportive of customer orders for a long time. Copying a CD or DVD should not cost $205, much less $300+.
If it was 1,000 pages of printed information, perhaps yes. In the past, Helm could not deliver those intact and in un-damaged binders.

No idea, the wiring diagrams for 2022 are listed, English, but the service manual is not even listed now.

A quick phone call to Helm, (800)782-4356 confirms it is still available and still @$205. They had no idea the site page was not working correctly..

Sorry you had a bad experience with Helm, my experience has been the opposite over the years.

The best hard-copy books I ever had were the old factory Toyota manuals, edge bound and near indestructible, pricey for sure, but that has always been the case for factory books.
