Seems like a big increase even this price was quoted from 3-4 years ago, reading around here it seems like most people were not finding their PTU or RDU underfilled from the factory so I decided to take the gamble mine is properly lubricated and just pay to change it at 30,000 miles per Ford. If it was $200 or less I would have paid for it now but not at $340...
That’s approx what I paid for both to get done at dealer, $400 for that and oil and filter change, Canadian dollars! 🤔

Can't believe I'm writing this, but have them take a more than cursory glance at the CV Axles. This guy's tremor CVs failed at just 8K miles. Wild.

I was reading that, I kinda took it as bad luck as I haven't heard of the Tremors having CV issues on mass the way other trims of Mavericks had. The oil change included a multi-point inspection though, so I would hope the Ford techs looked at these components. I just wonder if the CV joints are considered powertrain or not if they fail? I will keep this in mind as my Tremor is due back in for oil around 12,000 miles.

That's pricey considering the value of the CAD vs. the USD. Price of the oil change, multi-point inspection and fluid changes on those devices would have been around $450 USD with taxes/fees at the dealership I use.

Those are battery saver changes if going off that quick.

Means your battery is under a threshold - and if at the point the cabin power port/USB is off when you open the door - it's at max effect.
You must have been missing it as it slowly became shorter & shorter.

Unless, unless - this is the new 25MY setting. But I don't think so.
Used to be 75 min, thought users of Forscan reported it down to 60 min for 25MY.

Bad batteries do happen, if that's the reason. Enjoying the radio in Acc mode good reason too!
Sorry, I missed your post last week. As for the USB ports, I plugged in a diagnostic tool I use at work into one to charge, I know the car must have killed power to them when I shut the car off as it was at the same charge level when I returned. I can confirm the cigarette lighter port has power for much longer but I am unsure how long, one day when I have time I will check it.

One of these days hopefully I will run into someone that has this Forscan tool and knows what they're doing so I can modify these settings.

While under the 3/36 warranty, they are covered for failures. I'm still under 1K miles but will be sure to stress to my dealer that I want my CVs thoroughly inspected at every service, even if I have to pay the shop labor rate for them to do it.

This is the right mindset to have, I would be quite salty if I got stuck with the repair bill after the the warranty ends.

It's one of those subjects where everyone has a different opinion and it's hard to find the proper answer since a concensus doesn't exist. Like the discussion if 10,000 oil changes are smart, even with motor oils that are rated for it or how often you should do a transmission flush/fluid change.

The 12V power point timeout in my MY25 Lariet Hybrid is 4,500 seconds (Yes, 75 minutes). Forscan can change it to about anything. I changed mine once to 14,400 seconds (4 hours), and verified it worked, but eventually changed back to default (75 minutes).

Good to know what the default is.
Of course now with OTA updates, and not gotten at the same time - the default can change.
Or different between models - I may be recalling an EB comment.
