you read the whole page they show how to calculate with more or less passengers. I know what it says on the sticker on the side door on my SC and it says 1411 lbs which by the way is the rating they put on both the two wheel drive and the four wheel drive which indicates Hyundai is being cautious with their numbers since anyone knows the four wheel drive outweighs the two wheel drive which means the payload should change if nothing has changed when Hyundai introduced the truck they advertized over 1700 lb payload. Let me add the guy in the video knows a hellva lot more about payload and trucks then folks that can't logically calculate how payload it measured. Look up the carry capacity of the tires and axle of the truck and then pay attention to the weight adjusting rear end that he said did fine and levelled the truck with the weight. If the truck was level, the weight in the bed 1800 lbs it would only make sense to say your interpretation is incorrect. My vehicle has the following numbers....curb weight 3862, Gross Vehicle weight Rating 5611. Use your head...only one way 661 pounds plays is with weight after 5 150 pound passengers...That's not what that says. And Hyundai put it in the 2023 manual too.
And just because a truck can do it once doesn't mean it's designed to do it repeatedly. Hyundai's literature says you shouldn't put more than 661 lbs in the bed, and they could have corrected it for 2023 (they even modified the language to be clear the cargo area is the bed).
