Lots of negative vibes here in regards to intakes, to each his own and I cant speak to the other kits out there but I do know that the S/B unit replaces not only the intake grill scoop, airbox and airflow tubing but also the very small turbo inlet which none of the other kits do and its build quality is top notch.

It's just a tiny bit more intake noise than stock but delvers a great driving experience upgrade. I highly recommend to anyone with an Eco/Boost who wants a little more oomph out of their rig -
Why is the truth always perceived as negative?

odd how (edit: not 'you') a person can interpret one opinion as truth, implying others are false, and yet still we have no actual performance data or any other measurable result.

The only thing a higher flow intake can do is allow the turbo to spool slightly quicker. It will not/ cannot improve MPG. An exhaust can allow the turbo to spool quicker too. It will not improve MPG.

Exactly unless you have dyno numbers it's more of a; I spent a ton of money on this, so yea I feel a difference.
Have done so many upgrades throughout the years on motorcycles, cars, heck even lawnmowers- Some you might notice more noise and butt vibrations but not much else, I get it but this kit makes driving the rig more fun- I remember lightening flywheels, enlarging throttle bodies, polishing intake ports back in the day. Chasing better throttle response was a fun mission regardless of added HP-

I don't need a dyno for this one - Its now more exciting to drive so mission accomplished-

Yep no added mileage here that's for sure.

Back in 2003 I bought a Hyundai Tiburon, the first year of the new body style. The 2.7 L V6 was very tame, so I put a 4ā€ round magnaflow muffler on it up at the front, just behind the catholic perverter. Very nice sound as it resonates in the rear pipe section, unlike the sound produced by a fart can, where the muffler is at the very back. But the sound was still missing something. šŸ˜

So I put an aluminum intake on it with a cone style K&N filter. It was only about 12ā€ long, so there was zero muffling of the intake sound. The wumph, wumph, wumph as each piston sucked in the air charge was clearly audible and loud! That was $60 well spent.

That little engine was the best sounding v6 I’ve ever had. Unfortunately I don’t have any clips of it. It definitely sounded better than the VQ37VHR I had

And yeah, it’s just for the sound. You might get +10 hp with the intake and exhaust, but you get +30 dB!!!
