I have a 2025 Mac ecoboost lariat, I tried to install the Rival engine skid plate but it is contacting something because there is a loud resonance in the cab. It is either the oil pan or the motor mount that is contacting it. Anybody out there with a similar issue? What did you do to resolve it?

No issues with the install on my 2025 hybrid but I do know that there were previous fitment issues with EcoBoosts.

I don’t think you could have installed it wrong.

Take the oil fill panel off and see if can see what is touching.

I ordered a Rival skid plate for my 2025 EB Lobo but cancelled soon after I realized the skid plate is the same for the 22-24 EB and the Hybrids too - despite having 3 different oil pans.

I was/am impressed with their quality but was worried about fitment. Now they do offer a different skid plate for the Lobo - but I found that removing the OEM cover isn’t all that bad. Lets me inspect for leaks better. And the OEM is lighter if I drop it on my head:)

Yours is a hybrid, correct? I also got a response from Rival stating they haven’t had any issues. Well I am. I haven’t modified anything so I don’t know. I took it back off for now. Maybe some spacers or something can help

I did contact Rival and since I bought through a third party that I have purchased everything from, this is there response instead of giving assistance. I made no threat of sending it back , just wanted help. Rival stated, “Thank you. We appreciate your feedback, although we do not agree with it, as we believe it is not relevant. What we asked from the beginning was simply that you follow our 3rd Party Policy, which is publicly posted on our website. The third party reseller can arrange the return and provide you with a refund if you are not satisfied with our product. We have been the world’s leading OEM manufacturer for over 20 years, so we must follow our policies to ensure consistency across our business in more than 65 countries.” Apparently, we are irrelevant. All I asked for was some help in figuring it out. Now I , a customer, don’t mean anything.

Take the pan off and drive drive it to see if noise goes away

Can you grab a lipstick from your wife, make some marks on likely points of contact, and re-install? This way, you may be able to pinpoint the source, and develop a plan from there.

I thought that ☝🏻post was going to go a totally different direction 🤣

A far safer option, would be to stop off at Walmart and pick up the cheapest lipstick you can find.
Beware
If there is a significant other.
You may want to explain in detailed what you're doing and why.

I didn't interbit it the same as you. It just makes sense to me as to what they are saying. With no record of your purchase how can they even know if it's their product and not a counterfeit, which is more common than you think these days. The fact that they are reaching out to you and have no direct business interaction with you tells me that you are relevant to them.

According to a post I saw/replied to on FB last night, Rival is looking for a 25/26 EB in the Houston area to look in to the fitment issue, so they aren't completely ignoring you.
