Looks like they just came back in stock in the last few hours.Looks like a good product and the price of $299 isn't bad at all.
Too bad they are showing out of stock right now.

My Rival Skid Plate arrived and I finally had time to install it. Tough to get pictures since I don't have a lift but it was pretty easy to install, only took an hour.![]()

hello, what is the weight and is it same/exact size as felt undercarriage shield
Thanks for the pics - this is a big decision maker for me. What is your in-person impression? It looks to me like the drain is all the way off to the side and the filter panel may be a bit small. I feel like once you put the truck up on ramps and change the angles, you end up dumping filter oil on the top of the plate and the drain plug is a maybe. But maybe I'm not thinking this through or seeing it right? Some pictures with the access plates removed for anyone curious as to how well they line up with the filter and drain.
Certainly the first time I change the oil after the install will be the real test. I don't think oil from the drain will hit the plate, but I was considering one of the oil drain adapters anyways. Coming from a Honda Element were the oil dumps on to parts of the engine/frame this seems much cleaner to me haha. Oil filter appears to be the tightest fit, probably depends on the tool one uses to remove it. I can get my hand in there no problem so I think putting in a filter will be easy. I will probably put my oil filter removal tool on a short extension to clear the plate. Worst case it is 4 bolts to remove the plate, which is easier than the felt one. Thanks for the pics - this is a big decision maker for me. What is your in-person impression? The easy oil changes makes it worth getting the skid plate for many people.Yep, I haven't actually tried yet but the panels/cuts are designed to allow for oil changes without removing the entire plate.
Just got mine also…thanks for the intel, esp knowing it took an hour w/o a lift. Glad I made the right choice for me based on others observations. ‘22 XLT FX4My Rival Skid Plate arrived and I finally had time to install it. Aren't some or all of those bolts going into the silly nuts with pigtails that you had to fish through from below, though? Those did not seem like something I'd want to mess with more than once.Worst case it is 4 bolts to remove the plate, which is easier than the felt one.
The back two used existing nuts in the frame, so they were the easiest. The front two use the pigtails. I used a loop of fishing line to pull the pigtail nut down so theres a bit more pressure behind it while putting in the screw. Not my fav either but still didnt take long.@nismmathias Thanks for the pics and feedback. I am definitely considering this install.

Just FYI in case you do it yourself without a buddy. You'll put in the rear most bolts and then the plate can sort of hang from those before you tighten them. I then put some spare wood planks I had under the front of the plate, like cribbing, to lift the front of the plate into place so I didnt have to hold it while trying to put in the front screws.Just got mine also…thanks for the intel, esp knowing it took an hour w/o a lift. I wish I'd taken a picture of them side by side once I'd removed the stock one since you're not the first to ask. Its not a 100% exact match of the stock one, but it effectively covers the same area, both covering the underside of the engine. There's a much better picture on Rival's website since they took some pics with the truck up on a lift.Is it the same size as the stock one that comes with my Maverick Hybrid?
