14.6@93, fast enough for any road conditions, a little tuning & 13's are doable. I know not fast compared to todays 'pony' cars, but I can remember cars with big blocks that couldn't do that without a lot of work, & those only got 10mpg.
That's fast enough for me!

Ive read thread after thread and as expected, everyone justifies why they purchased what they did. I’m curious if anybody hates their ecoboost or hybrid and wishes they went with the other one and for what reasons.

I’ve been dead set on one or the other one, switching weekly as both have their pros and cons.
Bought the FX4 ecoboost and am very happy with it!

On a recent work trip, 70-80 mph on ECO and ACC on for 80-85% of my mostly freeway drive until the backroads started to become winding and the posted speed limits kept changing every few miles. First half of the trip was in the morning so no A/C. On the return trip, A/C was on auto at 70 degrees setting. Outside temp was in the high 90s. I idled for 20 minutes to eat lunch in my vehicle too. Otherwise, I would've been closer to 45 mpg. Company is reimbursing me $110 for mileage when I used roughly a little over 4 gallons. Needless to say, no regrets going with the hybrid.

Personally I have an aversion to technology in vehicles, so the ecoboost is just the way to go in my mind. The AWD may have been unnecessary for me, but I went with it for possible resale demand - either way I don’t think you can miss. Heck, I think think an ecoboost FWD with a lower kit and some 20’s would be a hot seller.

Got an EB for towing our TT and AWD as we live and work on a ski resort. I love the decent grunt and MPG in the EB and it tows great, the noise however is terrible, sounds like my Grandmothers old sewing machine. The auto gearbox also leaves me cold, paddle shifters or at least a manual selector I would have paid good money for as an option, I'd love to be able to floor it while passing without it jumping round to 5.5k rpm, instead you have to feed the throttle in slowly so it doesn't jump down half a dozen gears but then I find I'm not able to give it the full beans. I guess I've been spoiled by better gearboxes in the past.

hybrid efficiency declines in extreme cold and extreme heat?
I live 80 miles north of Detroit, got my hybrid 12/23....I did not really notice any or very little difference when spring and summer came. I was 38-40 mpg in winter basically, then getting 43 this summer...BUT I started using the "coaching screen" in the spring, so that definitely aided in my MPG increase. My .02

I concur... Fast enough for practicality, but does not at all "put you back in your seat"😉

I was willing to get an Ecoboost if I couldn't find a Hybrid, but thankfully I didn't have to settle. The Hybrid has performed better than I expected. It has enough getup for me. The only reason I would get an Ecoboost is if you feel you need AWD and/or that 4k tow package.

Yeah, I was wondering about that as well...

I've owned three VW Jetta TDIs, and never got less than 34 mpg, no matter how hard I abused them. More typically it was around 42-43, and I've "hypermiled" a few times to get it well above 50. I kind of regret turning mine in during DieselGate, even though they paid me enough for it to buy a same-year Toyota Prius C that gets even better mileage. The difference is the Jetta TDI was a blast to drive, while the Prius is - well - "transportation" at best. It's reliable, but it's just boring as heck...

I drove a Maverick EB at the dealer (Lariat Lux/360 with 4K tow package), and it was surprisingly quick and fun to drive. Even though I know the hybrid will be a bit slower, it will still be a HUGE improvement over the Prius, and I am sure that I will really enjoy driving it... As someone else pointed out, it's got just over twice the HP, a LOT more torque, and it weighs substantially less than my current Prius.

Oh -- I also owned a '72 Maverick 2-door with the 4-cylinder engine and a "three on the tree" manual. I thought I was pretty hot stuff getting 22 mpg! Cars (and trucks) have come a long way...
The 72 Maverick had a six cylinder, not a four cylinder engine.

Yep, available with either a 170 cubic inch inline six, a 200, and a 250, in addition to a 302 V-8.
But in fairness, I'll bet that 170 in particular probably felt like a four cylinder when you punched it. 😉

I think you bought the wrong truck. I would have looked at a Toyota Tocoma 4X4, just my opinion.

Really enjoying my hybrid. Getting over 900km to a tank, which is 50% more than my 08 Ranger and with a smaller tank. I had an Ecoboost AWD as a rental for a week and really didn't like it in comparison. I'm sure it's probably because I was just used to one over the other.
