Seems like a good way to let water under the bed liner and eventually cause rust, but it ain't my truck, so you do you.

This isn't good advice, though. I don't want others to see this and think it is a good idea. Unless they like rust, of course.
I've got a 1999 Mazda B4000 with ~210,000 miles that had a plastic drop in liner for it's whole life except for the last few years. No rust only paint rubbed of in some locations. Oh I also live in the rust belt. Yes there is some rust elsewhere on the truck , even the frame but not in the bed.

So sounds like your advice isn't good either.

Yes I'm sure some do get rust under the liner but a shit load of vehicles get rust in all different locations.

I was specifically talking about the cut-up mangled drop-in liner the other user posted, with the underside exposed on the end of the bed.

Ordinarily, a drop-in liner is fine as long as it is sealed properly, but even then your mileage may vary.

Line-X would be my aftermarket spray-in urethane liner of choice. Usually if you ask the Line-X shop for the advertised discount you can get $ 50.00 off. Line-X has 4 levels of Spray-in Starting under $ 600.00 & moving up.

Ford Factory Spray-IN liner uses products from "TOFF" and the company might actually do the spray themselves on the line (Can't get a clear answer on this part). I was going to do a Delete on my 2025 Lariat and have my Line-X guy do it. He told me keep the Factory TOFF spray-in and you will be happy. MSRP on the Factory Spray is $ 495.00 Google TOFF if you want more info. Some larger Ford Dealers are doing spray In house and using TOFF for warranty and aftermarket.

Never had a problem with rust underneath dibl in other trucks ( last f150 for 18 years) especially with maverick weep holes in it anyhow . plus other people get spray in bed liner and then add mats to protect the spray in bed liner and ECT . your right , to each there own opinions .

Granger did mine for $500 and that appears to have included tax. And I got the shiny final coat. It turned out very nice.

I know this has definitely been covered in here, but I’m looking for some RECENT quotes y’all have received for spray in bed liner.

Line-X just quoted me $715 and I nearly spit out my drink. Inflation??
I paid $500 at Bullet Liner in Green Bay, WI. Excellent work.

My 2005 Ranger had a plastic bed liner in it it's entire life until 2014 when I took it out. The entire thing was rusted, and there were about 6 holes I patched up with fiberglass. Then I spray painted the entire bed with the Rustoleum bed liner spray. So your milage may vary lol, my Dad owned the truck before me and washed it religiously.

Are you sure it didn't rust out from the bottom up☝?
The most fun truck I ever had, was a 1987 Nissan hardbody pickup truck. Chrome wheels Dunlop tires, no A/C. It was my first experience having a 4 cylinder engine with 8 spark plugs.
It was a five-speed, short bed, regular cab, it did not have any bed liner. It had an aluminum bed cover, with aluminum ladder racks bolted to it.
By the time I sold the truck bed had rusted from the bottom. 😱
The the tops of the front fenders on my 1970 Challenger also rusted out from the bottom up. ☹

Ha ya know, you could be right! The thing was rusted pretty bad when I sold it a year ago so I can't even go out and check.

The paint they use for different color in liners comes from China. It is a "specialty paint". My installer told me this a while back. So if you want a colored bed liner, better get it in a hurry!!

Got my line-x 2years ago for $550.00, very satisfied. And I would pay the updated price as well.

I just had Line-X done on my XL. $615 all in for the premium service, no charge for removing tie-downs, Cubbies, bed caps rails etc.

Paid $600 for the base level LineX. Went basic since I was putting a tonneau cover on. They were gonna charge $150 to remove the bed rails, cleats, and D-Rings but I did that myself. The premium UV coat and extra protection layer were gonna be 900.
Same here...I got a quote for the base product from LineX this week of $600 + $18 nonsense fee, with tax was $655.08. I was expecting to be around $500 all in, but not a lot of competition in my area either. I wonder a Ranger or F-Series are that much more...shouldn't we get a discount for a smaller bed?

sounds like hardly any line-x dealers are under $500 these days.

Damn, that Challenger if pristine now could prolly get you 4 Mavs! 🤔
