this is super helpful, appreciate the insight. I am going to call them back tomorrow. thank you
A non-unibody truck has a nice big gap between the bed and cab that they drop a curtain down so they don’t have to tape off the cab. With the Mav there is no gap, so everything has to be taped to prevent overspray. Thus more labor and materials. It’s not really cheaper because it’s smaller. That’s how it was explained to me anyway, and it does sound reasonable vs. some of the BS I’ve been told.

I’ve heard some of them offer a cash price to the employees of the dealerships they work with.

I dunno but maybe you got a lease to buy or something?
Anyway apples to oranges, I ordered the spray in when I ordered my "25. Dealer had several "24's on the lot and they looked identical to LineX so I went ahead and put it on the order. I had LineX on my Silverado and I loved it. The lady that ran the LineX store said she would honor the warranty even after I bought the Silverado with the LineX in it and used.
Also my Ford salesman told me the local LineX store (the same lady) did their spray ins for them when customers requested them.
I"ve used them all I think, but you may be better off with a mat or a piece of ply wood and cargo net for you purpose. But LineX is the best IMHO.
