Another thread reported what likely was the issue with that 8 hr one.

EB's were on hold because someone tagged the update as requiring a module only on the hybrids.

So the EB attempts were failing for the pre-25's.
Your dealer probably had that not-fun waste of time, and weren't about to touch another one, despite you having a hybrid - they didn't know, and after 8 hrs with likely Ford's help - still didn't know why, or the tech didn't share the end result.

ETA - bad info above - other update 26E04 was for PCM, more related to the parking pawl lack of engagement.
In that thread were comments if it was other side of trailer module update needed to complete it.
Maybe? Not the first time 2 modules needed to be updated in unison to fix an issue.
But TMU sounded like just communication error - so update is like, try again dummy.

Anyone have this completed? Just got a letter from my dealer stating they need the truck for a full day. Do they really need that much time for a program update?
This month OTA right after l asked about it when l went in for service. I have a 23 hybrid Lariat. Called to make an appt and they said " you are done". 23 Hybrid Lariat.

If you have Ford mobile service available in your area took him less than 30 minutes when he did mine

2023 is on Sync 3 and not capable of receiving over the air updates.
Someone from Ford tell you that? I just checked with Ford again and they say that's wrong and that the recall is done (June1) and the tech certified it again in the records.
I have no idea if my 23, delivered late November 23, is more capable then earlier models, but the dealership is showing it certified as done.

I don't work for Ford anymore, but I can tell you with 100% confidence that a 2023 Maverick cannot get OTAs. Message me the VIN and I can check your warranty history and open recalls to see if it was done or not.

I made an appointment for my '23, July production date, last week and was in and out in 30 minutes. 8 hour wait sounds fishy.

Then they did it.

Because your truck can't do those OTA's that started with 25MY.

You can get an infotainment center update - big whoop.
Well - if there were actually updates, ok, decent enough.

Off topic and just FYI: There is a new Sync 3 APIM update posted on CyanLabs site. It has not officially been released by Ford yet, but a few people on there have installed it. I didn't do it on our Bronco Sport because I have a Sync 4 APIM in it, but to anyone brave enough to try, you can read about it here:

That's ridiculous. Updating the TRM with FDRS takes 2 minutes.
I figured they didn't know what they are doing. Might see if I can get driveway service- those guys usually have it together.

Well, someone above mentioned the update is getting hung up on certain Mavericks based on what drivetrain they have. However, anyone that has even a little experience with updating modules with FDRS should know that a TRM update is only about 100KB worth of files and that will not take 8 hours to flash. If it gets hung up, you just shut FDRS down. Letting is sit for 8 hours doing nothing is silly af.
