I think Ford should pay me for my time wasted at the dealership doing recalls. I’ve spent about 30 hours total so far sitting in the waiting room.

I'm in NC too. Asheville Ford sent a friendly tech to my driveway for free to do two controller firmware recalls. And I'm a 30 minute drive away. I went ahead and had him do the oil change while he was here.

The compensation is already considered by addressing the issue and fixing it for free. I would personally rather have recalls than manufacturers ignore issues for years and not covering the issue.

I would suggest having some of the recalls done at your house or business if that dealership offers that convenience. If not it would behoove you to see if another dealership offers that option.

I would agree, but I wouldn't expect anything like that to happen - ever. Still, you could write up an invoice and send them a bill to see what happens. My hours are all billable, just like a lawyer's hours.

well most of the dealerships do offer free coffee and in the morning you can get a danish ..or 2...or 5!

It'll never happen but no reason one can't wish it so. I mean, I've always complained that my dental bill or doctor bill should be less if my appointments for 1:00 and they don't get me in till 10 after or quarter after.
