This was the second mod that I did. With a custom wire harness it's a 5min job, no tapping into factory wires. I also added an usb power cord on the harness for dash cam. So much cleaner than wiring cable under trims.
Fully detailed YouTube video including the USB power cord or it didn't happen! :ROFLMAO:

That looks great except for one thing...won't the mod void the warranty especially for the onboard camera? Those things can cost a pretty penny if damaged.
The obligatory "void your warranty" post in every mod thread.

Seriously though, maybe I am missing something.
What does the review mirror have to do with the onboard camera.

Some are tapping into its wiring. If that damages the CP360 camera module, then that could be grounds for denying a warranty claim.

Thanks. This is true. But it is not the actual mirror causing the warranty problem. It would be improper wring. Which one must always be conscious of when doing electrical mods.

You’re tapping into the power supply. Even if you are the experienced electrician in the world, that should give Ford an excuse to void the warranty or make your life even more miserable if something goes wrong.

If "something goes wrong" because of "tapping into the power supply" then what went wrong is not covered by the warranty.

"something goes wrong" does not "void the warranty"

The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act is a federal law that requires manufacturers to honor warranties despite a vehicle’s aftermarket modifications. To successfully challenge a modification, the manufacturer must prove that the changes created the need for repairs.

Just got the Mirror upgrade done and I love it. Such a simple upgrade but the added features, especially the auto-dimming is so appreciated!

Here’s where I got it - https://www.kiaautoparts.com/oem-parts/kia-auto-dimming-mirror-with-homelink-and-compass-2t062adu01

Here’s the YouTube video I used to install it. This was super helpful -

Any questions let me know!
I have a '22 Maverick Lariat with Adaptive Cruise Control, was wondering if this will mess with the camera right behind the mirror?

Nope. No problem in my 2023 Lariat with ACC. Light works just fine. I have both the mirror and a dashcam off of a patch cord between the camera plug up there.

Did you buy the patch cord or make it? If so, where, or do you have any instructions on how to make a patch cord? Thanks!

I took the easy way and bought it from a member here who had made extras. But there are threads here as to exactly how to make it.

My main thing is the ability to add a dash cam and plug it into this wire harness. I also have the harness that Mike Sulley sold, just thinking about adding a dash cam.

Where did you get the custom harness? I hate those taps. I actually bought the mirror but not ready to chop up wires in my truck.
