14,000 lbs towing
2,700 lbs payload
10-minute charge for 110 miles
15 cu. ft frunk space
ProMaster BEV Van to be announced later this year.
7.2kW plug in the rear; 3.6kW in the frunk

I always think these developments are fun, but like many have already expressed, the extremely limited range when actually using it as a truck limits the appeal for me. I’m still not sold on electric vehicles long term. I’d like to see more work on hydrogen fuel cell.

All these electric trucks are neat an all. I just cant behind the massive price tags they all seem to have. even without dealer markup, its pushing 100k on these things.

I agree. Hydrogen fuel cell gives you the benefit of EVs with the range extension of ICE. And its only byproduct is water vapor.... which come to think of it is the ultimate in greenhouse gases. But hydrogen comes from water, so it would be a net zero affair.

Seriously though, imagine the climate impacts of a million vehicles in Los Angeles spewing out pure water vapor all the time.

Hydrogen fuel cells are too complicated with today's tech, which is a big reason why we haven't seen mass adoption. I still wish my Hybrid was a PHEV. I think PHEV is the way to go. You get the commuter benefits of an EV and the ability to refuel and use ICE on longer trips. Should satisfy everyone from all walks of life. But it feels like there's this huge move toward EV only tech. Automakers are losing billions trying to transition, hence the astronomical markups.

Right, but everyone has their minds set on EV and no one is focusing on HFC. It's similar when everyone, including the government, thought compact florescent bulbs were the future despite LEDs being longer lasting and more efficient. It took time for the LED bulb to win out and I think HFC has the potential if bigger names would just put their focus on it.

NASA landed on the moon with HFC tech so it isn't a new technology. Honestly, if I'm the oil industry, I pursue HFC because it keeps me in the game so fuel stations will convert over from gasoline to hydrogen. EVs remove the oil industry from the segment from the most part.

While hydrogen fuel is definitely more eco-friendly, at the moment the means of producing it still aren't. The options are to use natural gas (fossil fuel) or to use electricity. If you use electricity, the majority is done with coal plants which of course aren't great for the environment. You can also use solar/wind/water to do it which is the only true eco-friendly method but unfortunately there isn't enough of that available. If they can, then hydrogen fuel is definitely a better way.

I listen to the Consumer Reports Car Stuff Podcast and they talked about this on one a month or two ago. They said the way they see it going in the future would be to use hydrogen for trucking and commercial delivery services as well as pickups for towing, while EV will be for cars and most personal vehicles that don't need to travel far everyday.

More interested in Fords hydrogen development in the Super Duty. This could trickle down to smaller trucks and be far more user friendly than outrageous charge times with EV.

Also would have liked to see RAM stick with the original 3 row concept they had basically one month before releasing the first images of this.

I like the look of this truck and the F150 Lightning because they are still staying similar in appearance to the trucks they are based on. The Silverado EV is okay looking, but looks nothing like the current Silverado. It looks closer to an Avalanche which is what they should've named it.

Mostly all they did was show a picture of a tailgate with a hybrid badge confirming there is one coming. No details.

Oh, yeah, that's all I saw, but figured I just missed the rest. Bummer. I know it's gonna be crazy priced, out of my league, but still interested to see it come out.
