Since before the recalls my truck has blown both tail lights at different times, but both the turn signal and the brake light would blow at the same time, and this is with the lastfit bulbs!! So I’m literally like ten bulbs in on the brake lights with replacements I actually bought and the updated ones they sent me for free with this recall stuff!!!

Ten Bulbs in ? WOW what a different experience I've had ....

I've had no recalls for taillights done and am running original Lasfit Leds all around my Truck with zero issues for 2 years ( No issues with anything vehicle wise actually even the Conti Tires are holding up well ) - just clocked 30K on truck

Cheers

I am going out to https://www.diodedynamics.com/ in St. Charles MO tomorrow 6/27 and run all this by them
One if the engineer there has a Maverick
Let me/us know what the engineer person may say. The Morimoto bulbs I had would not engage the brake light, but turn signal it would flash 3 times thens top flashing. Hazards were the same way, flash 3 times then stop. Seeing the Morimoto and Lasfit use different things in the bulbs to stop the hyperflash and things like that, I do not know what caused what issue. I did not use the Morimotos long enough to see if they too caused the "deactivation" of the light assembly as they didnt even allow brake light to engage (so i am sending them back asap)...way more unsafe as they didnt work as intended.

But all I am looking for is a LED bulb that works and does not seem to cause the random "deactivation" of the whole brake assembly in my Mav. Maybe the DiodeDynamics guy will have an idea about that. I would prefer to have LEDs in, but dealing with issues with LEDs in.... or no issues with incandescent lights... I will go the route with less stress.

Please keep us informed on what they say!

This may be a stupid question but why doesn't Ford use leds for all the lamps. I am guessing cost. But my 2008 Saturn had them for the tail lights.
My last vehicle was a 2008 Saturn Vue XL 3.6l and it still only had regular filament bulbs.

Mine was an Aura. It had like a bunch of small leds for the taillights. AT the time I thought it was cool.

They cost a Ton seem to fail as often or more under warranty very little benefit on low wattage bulbs like brake turn.
You would think that they would last alot longer. They use em for headlights sure hope they do.

I have put 15+ years and 200-400k on many cars trucks and never changed a bulb other than headlights the low wattage Helgen are pretty reliable. Very low cost. Yes they burn out now and then but so do the Led but a Sylvania 3157 in under 2 bucks and proven.

So agree that's why I am not sure why people would jump throgh hoops to get these LEDs to work. For some reason I see many VW with lamp issues.

just an update, did play around with the wiring, couldnt get anything to fix the problem. removed everything, put back in the halogen bulbs. the problem still persists in stock configuration now too.

I swapped mine back to incandescnet bulbs this week and driven the truck about 15-20 trips so far and havent noticed the taillight out issue that I was having before. I did change the forscan settings back to normal (with the exception of the bulb outage detection with the fronts as I still have LEDs in front turn signals). Did you change forscan at all before hand and or after?

I only disabled the outage detection. The problem is intermittent too. Realized one of my marker light connectors no longer puts out power either. Wonder if it's related
