I just want to rant a little about the "Water Bottle" design of the doors. It is well documented that nothing fits well in the front door holders, I've tried four different bottles, none would fit, all for different reasons. After my fourth purchase a few weeks back I made peace with the fact I just wont be able to use it for anything other than a throw away bottle of water and I've resigned to using the rear door holders for transporting my bottle to work and school and back. I keep my backpack back there anyways, so whatever.

The last bottle I purchased was this one. It almost fits in the front except its too tall. Well today I was driving back to work from school and took a turn and I hear my water bottle fall out , well it did it in such a way that it popped the lip open and I hear the unmistakable glug, glug, glug sound of all my water pouring into the floorboard. Luckily I have all weather floor liners so the water is just a puddle and not leaking into the carpet. But this bottle is too small for the rear doors now, and wants to fall out. What kinda Goldilocks ass water bottle fits this truck?

Who the hell designed these doors and for what water bottles? Nothing fits just right. Why won't ford release a list of water bottles that fit in the door as that was a thing they used a ton in the marketing? Hell, the "official" maverick water bottle from Ford doesn't fit in the front door. Just a cursory glance at both doors and I can't see a reason why the front door pockets could have the same size bottle holders as the rear. None of this makes sense.

Rant over...
This post sounds crazy to me. I have a Camelback that I had before my Mav, and it fits perfect. I was also gifted 2 other water bottles that fit perfectly in the rear doors. Those being fatter water bottles.
Plus the “official” Maverick bottle simply means it’s licensed to be a Ford bottle, not something done and sold without the consent of Ford. Doesn’t mean it was designed for specifically for the Mav. Plus I was also gifted a 24oz Contigo bottle and it’s 98.7% perfect. It slightly hits my handle.
My other favorite thing is that the front door bottle holder is the perfect fit for a Subway foot long.

I wondered why they marketed it so much. Guess they think yuppies that are into carrying lots of water bottles will flock to the Maverick. I use cup holders for drive-through drinks, pepsi bottles, or cans. I use the door pockets for other items. I don’t think cars need tall bottle holders when cup holders have worked for decades. Just get a big gulp from 7-eleven and ditch the tall, awkward bottles.
You should probably not be getting a big gulp of anything from 7-Eleven. Drink more water.

I agree. I gave up soda pop and sugary drinks about 2 years ago. 1 cup of coffee in the morning for me. My first 32oz of water to start the day has 1 whole lemon juiced into it to help detox my body. After that just straight water the rest of the day. And a cup of green tea at night. I lost 25 lbs just giving up all that sugary crap, and I feel so much better. Now if I drink a coke, it tastes like crap, and i usually dont finish it.

Coming from a 2018 Colorado, with awful door design (they narrowed the interior door panel to provide more seat width), I really like the Maverick's door panels. I don't use it for water bottles, opting for the center console cup-holders instead.
The door holds my compact umbrella and a fire extinguisher at close reach, whereas I had to throw them in the back seat of the Colorado. Much handier and good use of the space in my opinion.

And the music?

It's just noise!

It's not just cars & trucks. Have you looked at some of the furniture being sold today or tried sitting on them? o_O

Nope. Furthest thing from one. Got a scare 2 years ago. Stage 3 "Non alcoholic" fatty liver disease with possible permanent scarring, and half way to cirrosis of the liver. I was shocked because I dont drink alcohol, but I did eat fatty foods a lot, and drank lots of sodas.

At rate I was going without change I would be dead in 9 years. I want to retire in 9 years. I got several car projects I need to finish. Currently on a 69 barracuda 340-S , but have a 67 barracuda I need to do next, and another 88 daytona shelby, and a freshen up of my 94 silverado.

Gastro doc said I'm lucky, because at this point I can still turn this around and recover provided i drastically change my diet, what I drink, and that i daily exercise. I had a biopsy done 6 months ago. No liver scarring, fatty deposits gone, no more pain in my right side. Now my one cheat meal per week is friday night date night with my better half.😊

Doing this, you’ve done what most doctors never expect of patients: actual change. They hope for change but know most people are stuck in their habits and never do differently. My father even changed his diet after his visits started to become a little more grim. He’s down about 20 or 30 pounds himself, and he’s much more active lately. Less TV, more time with the family.

Thank you. I think part of what helps is I meal prep ahead of time, and make healthy lunches I can freeze and just grab n go in the morning to microwave at work when I'm on my 8 day stretch. It helps me save gas running to lunch , and save money as I dont eat out when at work anymore. Plus I'm up and out of the house on a 2 mile run at 4:30am every day with a 20lb weighted vest on. I have essentially adjusted my lifestyle to accommodate what I need to do. It's not such a big adjustment really. Plus my wife jumped on the healthy food and exercise bandwagon with me. That helps a lot. I still like my pierogis and polish sausage though.

As far as the doors go, I have smaller metal containers that may work in the doors. Mine was just built on the 31st, and shipped on friday. Who knows when I'm going to get it. They are giving estimates of sept 22-28. Nothing on mine is on restriction. I avoided lux and CP360, and no optional extras I can install myself. It shouldn't get held up at the transfer depot in Kansas city.

Yep, soda is probably one of the worst things you can drink. It's crazy how much sugar is actually in some drinks. When you get older it is especially important to cut down on sugar, fat and fried foods. Also sugar actually ages you faster. I keep trying to tell my brother to cut down on his sugar intake (takes about 6-8 teaspoons of sugar in a cup of coffee), and his smoking (about 2 packs a day I'm guessing) but he won't listen to me . Oh well.

16oz coffee black no sugar in the morning, and a cup of strawberries. That's breakfast. I also do a 24 hour fast 2 days a week. I subscribe to the thoughts of if you can pick it, or kill it, you can eat it. If it comes from a box, for the most part, leave it alone. Wife and I are considering keeping chickens as well.

6-8 teaspoons of sugar. Damn, does he drink that coffee with a fork?
