  1. 🚨 Back in Stock: Mabett Hood Water Barrier Protector

As an owner of multiple Mabett modifications, I have yet to install this one though I am excited to try it out.
  2. Add a manual transmission to the Ford Maverick. Bring it back manual transmissions..

If there’s ever a country of vehicle owners to do so, it’d be found in central and South America. I’ve seen so many vehicles south of USA making do with whatever resources are available, and manual transmissions just work. I’d like to see it happen!
  3. Add a manual transmission to the Ford Maverick. Bring it back manual transmissions..

Once out of warranty, I will genuinely give this a try. Granted, it’s my most reliable vehicle and converting it would both piss off the wife and make it to where I can’t drive it if I were to break my foot (again).
  4. Huge Insurance increase

I wish I had known you too were in Louisiana. I could have checked that truck for some goodies prior to being sent to the junker. Maybe they’ll put it in LKQ nearby.
  5. This single tip saves 20% gas!

This. I take slower routes intentionally for scenic purposes. If I go interstate, I stay at the speed limit. I’m rarely in a rush to do anything because I leave with more than enough time to arrive.
  6. Building a Luxury Ranch version of the Maverick - by Landon @ Korf Ford

That the company is economic about their choices in an economy truck? That’s what it tells me. It makes sense.
  7. Ford Maverick Lip LED

You’re clearly a fun forum member. I’m so glad you joined the pack late.
  8. Anyone add insulation / sound deadening?

Fender insulation might be an easy choice to go try out. My XLT doesn’t have despite being “luxury”. It’s decently quiet compared to my former trucks from the 90s, but it really pales in comparison to my wife’s crossover. The crossover and this truck are both unibody, so I might be able to...
  9. Anyone add insulation / sound deadening?

I drove cars from the 80s and 90s with terrible sound proofing. See the car on my profile pic. I have notable hearing loss due to bad window weatherstrips and exhaust drones. With that being said, struggling to understand people as an adult in my 30s is frustrating, and I’d hate to put my...
  10. Anyone add insulation / sound deadening?

I think you might be right. There’s not much to be done with the tires, but I will consider insulation options.
  11. Ford Maverick Lip LED

Not helpful for most. You have a common theme of posting unhelpful posts. Go back to Facebook.
  12. Building a Luxury Ranch version of the Maverick - by Landon @ Korf Ford

Bumping for visibility, though I will say most things I want are acoustic dampening. More power would also be nice.
  13. Anyone add insulation / sound deadening?

Bump, my kids are complaining about the cabin being too loud
  14. Terrible gas mileage!

Maybe less noticeable on the lower end (14hp lost), but on the higher end (25hp lost) and loss of power without the upper end of the tune would be closer to a loss of 50-60hp. I’d notice that amount pretty quickly! Also, this discussion about avoiding knock in a turbocharged engine, especially...
  15. Given an unlimited budget, what would you do to make the Maverick interior nicer?

The one that came with the XL and XLT. It’s not great but it works.
  16. Given an unlimited budget, what would you do to make the Maverick interior nicer?

Add better bolster to seats so that i don't feel like i am floating through turns. Sound dampening for doors and windscreen. Stop rattles wherever they exist. Better audio/radio choice, a system that does not require frequent reboots of the infotainment. Otherwise, I do not need any further...
  17. Terrible gas mileage!

91-93 octane is noticeably different than running 87 octane. In fact, it is tuned to run either or, but will provide more power at a higher octane. What altitude are you based in?
  18. New Ford Racing Intercooler (Mishimoto) for 2.0 EcoBoost Maverick

I'd love this in my truck...but I'd also love if Ford would give us an upgrade for our underrated transmissions. 260lb/ft torque max rating on a 277lb/ft. torque truck on the 8F35 is crazy.
  19. Terrible gas mileage!

I’m running 235/65R17 AT4/W now, instead of my stock Pirelli Scorpion 225/65R17. The difference between the tire weight is like 8-10lb each tire. Pretty significant. The acceleration and fuel economy suffered, but traction in all media increased significantly. In Louisiana, as a hunter wet...
  20. Terrible gas mileage!

I think it’s more me than the rest of the family. I’m all their weights combined.
