Another thumbs up for Zaino 👍
Now I would love for Zaino to come out with a ceramic product that works into their system. But I'm guessing that will never happen, it's been soooo long since they've brought out anything new. I've used them Zaino since probably 2006 and I just love it.

Nice detail on there! I’m old school too, but fell in love with this new turtle 🐢 wax with graphene. Your results are proof and they look amazing!

The new wax products are worth looking at as well.

I prefer this kind of wax product myself, it's a little more labor, but I use an electric buffer, I have tried many of those easy spray ones & they are easier to apply & can leave a nice shine, but they often leave streaks that are very hard to remove & after a couple car washes or rains they don't bead much.

I will look into advance products as well, for I am 65 now, and not as young as I use to be
but we're always as young as we're ever going to be

I have been using this paste wax in 2004 and do not mind old fashion hand waxing(and before that mequires clean and wax back in the 70's) in Florida ,sometimes in the sun, and it looks great. Just looked the hood reflection of the sky. Use to use on my 2003 ranger edge model with sonic blue color as well. It brings out the deepness and metallic nicely. Also have the liquid version of the same wax. Love ❤ it.

I also use paste wax. Costs about 5 bucks to apply.i do it once a year. I can't imagine paying thousands of dollars for the new ceramic coating treatments over a few years.

This is the way. The Turtle Wax stuff is great. It's so easy, it's no problem at all to do it every few months

Nice work! Have you tried any products from Griots? I've been impressed with most all their products. I use an electric polisher and get amazing results.
You quoted the wrong guy! Those were the OP's pictures in my post, not mine.

While I was still driving enough to be buying gas often enough, I'd do two panels with a rinseless wash, and then a fast spray wax, each time I stopped for gas. This was enough to be perpetually shiny.

I almost felt guilty, given the production that waxing was forty years ago . . .

I can't imagine paying thousands of dollars for the new ceramic coating treatments over a few years.
I spent about $200 on a pile of stuff from auto geek, and am applying the ceramic myself. It's really about the same effort as waxing, save that you have to pay a bit more attention while applying.

I figure I'll probably do it again annually, but that's not needed.

Also, that $200 included a couple good wash mitts, a clay kit, a few high-end microfiber towels, a massive microfiber, and paint prep stuff to remove other cleaning chemicals. I could have skipped the clay & paint prep, as it's a brand new maverick.

I started with the small strip between the rear window and bed liner, as the least visible. Good thing, too, as I have a couple of streaks to polish off, and then redo. The rear quarter panel came out fine.

I'm in my 50's and I was a long time dedicated user of paste waxes. However, the new synthetic spray waxes give a great shine and bead much better than any paste wax that I'm aware of. They are also much more durable than any paste wax with some legitimately beading for up to 12 months. They can leave streaks however in most cases that's due to overapplying the product. You're supposed to use very little per panel when applying these newer spray waxes.

I still have a can Of Turtle Wax Ice paste wax, but I have switched to Turtle Wax Sprays; less effort but still a great shine.

If you enjoy doing the paste method, more power to you!
