I know there’s many options on here, but I’m just an old school guy and prefer the regular waxing I’ve done for many years. A little story on mine I have over 44k miles and has been through 2 Michigan winters salty/rough roads w/road construction and it’s a shadow black that I consistently run through the car wash (ya have to in Michigan salt winter). Yes I have stone chips (I get used to touch up paint 😉). Yes I know the interior is easier to scratch as well but I like the old school shiney protection (armor all & 303) as for the exterior plastic trim has been staying shiny with car wash wax coating they use🤷‍♂️ But I just did a quick wax today in the garage before I noticed I should have buffed a little more as I took the pictures but it’s just chemical guy’s butter wax (I didn’t spend any time on my wheels because I’m heading to Easter dinner). I think everyone should just keep them clean to combat rust (rust belt people know) I myself know there’s many better choices ($ ceramics) still need quick detailing to stay nice too.

Good looking truck. I just sold my 22 XLT FX4. It was a great truck and hated to see it go, but my 23 Lariat hybrid came in. Looking at your pictures reminded me how much I liked it. I also love the Lariat hybrid, even though I have had it only a couple weeks. It is Alto Blue, and looks black sometimes depending on the weather.

The important thing is keeping it clean and getting that salt off. I love my ceramic but it's not an absolute necessity.

Looks sharp!! I like the pinstripe too.
I just spent 16 hours washing the wife’s car this week. My maverick got a full wool wax treatment on its 3rd day in my hands. It will get coated every fall to combat these mid west winters.

LOL, you got money for everything else except for the tint which could definitely make your Maverick look way better than those ugly orange coverings.

I would love to tint the windows, but not legal in Michigan for the driver/passenger 😞, but I myself am a fan of the orange accents & blue jeans seats (I’ve had too many boring black interiors over the years) - again it’s something different not all people like

sorry didn't know it was illegal to tint at any percentage in Michigan. You're right about the orange. If it's for you then who am I to disagree. Personally, I think your truck is much better without the orange accent since it is black.

Nice truck by the way. That's crazy about the tint in your state. Connecticut has legal tint, but everyday I see complete black tints and dark tinted windshields. I don't think police are worried about the tint anymore? I'm not taking a chance with the windshield. My sides are a shade darker then legal.

Thanks.
It’s actually the shop of my small trucking company. It just barely fits a semi truck. Not a truck and trailer or even a trailer… it’s 12’ ceilings. My trucks are 11’2”. It was an old broke down property I got and I’ve put a lot of work into. But I feel blessed to have a heated enclosed shop after years of working outside in the dirt, mud and snow.

Every time I wash my truck there are more nicks. The other day there were 3 additional nicks. I have never had a vehicle get so many nicks in such a short time.

My cars get washed every couple of years whether they need it or not. (Salt is not an issue here)
Wait - I thought 'gator blood was as corrosive as salt? Not true? :ROFLMAO:
