I hearing that Ford has removed the temp display from the dial. Now the dial only shows a picture of a thermometer. Is any of this true? I’m also being told that it was a way to save on chips. I guess it still shows up the temp on the radio display. Does anyone know what build date this started. Not a big deal just curious.

I saw a post about that either on reddit or on Facebook. Just a quick glance, on Ford.com website they have the digital temp knob. However, people have posted pictures with a normal knob on the Lariat Lux.

It may sound silly, however that will be a reason I would opt out of my order.
I realize that the change is annoying, but it still tells you the actual temp on the main screen when it is being changed. Why give up your order over that?

I suppose it is useful to have the displayed temp on the Lariat since it has dual-zone.

Mine was built last week of April and has it. One guy commented that his was built first week of May and he doesn't. That seems like the cutoff.

I'm not to sure if trims effect it but this change is across multiple ford lines including escape, BS, Bronco and f150 just off the top of my head.

Looks like I won’t have the temp display then. Mine was May 24th build date. Not a deal breaker for me but kinda did like the idea. As long as it still shows up on the infotainment screen I’m fine with that.

Mine was built on 4/19 and has the temp display dials. I recently added Nav to my Maverick and I also gained the climate tab, I can change temp from either.

My wifes '22 Bronco Sport doesn't have them and I know the '22 Bronco's also dropped them as well. Not really a big thing, you quickly adapt though my preference is on the dial.

Well that stinks. Was looking forward to that now that I’ll dual zone again.

When some items got dropped on other lines, Ford said you’d get it later, or a discount. Haven’t seen either about this.

Ford was able to fix the thin paint and soft glass complaints. Unfortunately, they had to sacrifice the temp read out dial to make those fixes.

I wonder if it was a decision based on chip availability ? Guess I'm missing something I never had with my 5/23 Build date.

Not a fan of this at all especially with ordering the duel zone temp control. Hopefully my build on 5/27 missed this and if not I'll be asking my dealer if they can get parts to swap it out.

@fordvideoguy do you have a contact you could ask about this change?
