No More Black Wheels

I love the look of black wheels, especially on the Maverick because they go so well with all the black trim on the truck. They look great in certain lighting but they are hard to see the wheel details and are a nightmare to photograph.
So I decided to swap out my gloss black Asanti ABL-27’s for a set of silver Rotiform SGN’s.
(and I finally tinted my windows)
What do you think? Silver or Black?

All of us old guys are going to say CHROME. Just hard to find. Besides, everyone has black rims today, most Maverick people are leaders not followers! I went with 18" Bronco Sport rims when I got my 22 XLT. Like them with my Cyber Orange. But would love some Cragar S/S.

old guy here - had Crager Chromes...great looking when polished but keeping them clean and polished was quite an investment in time and effort....

Here's a prediction. 99% of the responses from owners with black rims will say BLACK. 99% of the responses form owners with chrome or silver will say chrome or silver. I wonder if their preference is what they bought?

nah, black is actually even more popular than that right now, for reasons I can't understand. it's been that way about a decade now.

there will be more people with grey or silver OEM wheels that want black, rather than silver or grey.

I've had both. I only got black because that's what you get with 1st edition. I love my bronze wheels, but mainly I got them because they were on a huge sale. if silver or grey was on sale and bronze wasn't, I would get that instead, but I wouldn't buy black.

that was the 18" wheel that came standard on the hybrid first edition - not on the ecoboost first edition - and it was available to order for 22-24 Lariat as a $795 option. I have a set, also.

they also made an all-black version of that wheel which was used in the 23-24 black appearance package. it's matte black but it still sucks compared to this one with the silver trim.

Another vote for silver.
I am over of the black rims as well. Seems like everybody is doing the same thing now for the past couple of years. But each to their own.
Looking for some gunmetal or bronze wheels for my 25' space white XL currently.

Whatever wheel you want but roto formed should be considered as they should be lighter for the same weight loading.

Look great. Love both wheels but those Rotiforms look really good especially on the lowered coilers.

I like black coloured wheels with some paint colours, but not on others.
For instance, I have dark charcoal coloured wheels on my silver coloured Mav and I don't like the combo. On the other hand, I put black wheels on my wife's white coloured Honda Fit and I thing the combo looks great.
I really like the look of those Rotiform wheels, but I also think the black wheels look good with that paint colour too.

Saw on a car show where they did a stripe around the rim of the wheel to add a nice accent and that's what I was suggesting by the pic.
As for photoshop, I actually just used Windows Paint and took me about a minute and a half
