Credit cards, membership cards, toll cards, etc. fit in there perfectly. Ford has been including these in switch blanks for at least 13 years now.

I think Ford ripped me off, I don’t have the slit in my console like so many others do!

I did not know what that was for. I use mine for change coins.

I purchased a switch button cover to protect my buttons & slot. I did not want to accidently drop something into that slot or press a button.

I have had a sudden inspiration to make it useful ...

Glue a knob next to it, with a pointer at MAX on a scale. Now you cut the bottom out of it, and rig a detector for when something goes through it, then use a printer feed motor or something to push out a 6.14" by 2.61" piece of blank paper when triggered.

Then you make a label or use transfer to say "Bill Cleaner and Steriliser"

So a passenger tries it and gets a blank paper back and you can say "Shit! You didn't have it set to maximum did you?" ... free money
