Lol, is my English a word salad again? I am tired got a nasty cold. Sorry I do not know the lingo. That has been a big problem in the past. I could do things, make things work, but couldn't explain how I did it. I was a high school junior when they gave me the DoD training manuals on networking. Just in hope that I could explain how I ended up where I would.

I know there was an issue on the Lightning where updates were not happening or hanging because of some check of the 12v system. It deemed there was a problem so updates didn't happen. Seems like as of late I see lots of updates being mentioned by the Lightning owners so maybe they are over that hump. However I don't know if that would have anything to do with lack of updates on the Maverick.

Yeah Ford modified the BMS on the Lighting and the Mach-E so the HVB is able to charge the LVB and keep it at a more consistent SOC for OTA updates.

The lack of updates for the Maverick are due to it just getting the ability to do so.

I have a 2023 Lariat, and I have the app on my phone. However, according to the instructions, I am to go to the Ford app >> Settings >> Automatic Updates >> Schedule. However, I don't see any Automatic updates under settings. Any idea where this might be?
No where because you didn't read the thread to discover it doesn't apply.

I am drawing a blank on VC, I have had multiple strokes maybe a bit of context year range

VC is Vint Cerf who was one of the fathers of the internet. I met him and his wife at the Hearing Loss Association of America convention in Nashville in 2009. A really charming couple both of whom have hearing deficiencies as I do. I did get a chance to hear his stories about how the internet came about yet I don't recall any of the organizations being at 410 N. In San Antonio TX.

Based on that, I am having a hard time believe the 22MY SYNC3 can be upgraded to SYNC4. While a lot of it can be traced to software improvements, there is also hardware requirements that are necessary for it to work. Even though the Bluetooth technology is the same although I am not sure if the SYNC3 chip can handle the more complex logic of Bluetooth 5.

Oh that was a name, Saw it and thought it was 'vendor certified' in Mil-Speak. Was he originally at Berkeley? The recall time frame was prior to first install when I was working on their version of Unix... now MacOS. The guy who wrote Unix 'less' steadied the ladder I used for running cable, my work was with Unix 'chmod' and the other permissions utilities.

Not even Sync3 unless a Lariat.
Called Sync 2.5 (jokingly, derisively?) on non-Lariats but it really isn't Sync.

People have swapped in Escape screens/modules with major Forscan changes to get some aspect of Sync4.

I have not received any emails about the software updates setting in Ford Pass today or prior to today. I have a 25 Maverick with this setting...

I received the initial email 3 days ago and a followup email early this morning. OTA updates are a NO GO for me. This was for my MY24 XL Hybrid and I am in Northern Ohio. Not sure if this is a regional offering.

I think the OTA update setting is for the 25 Mavericks only...

I am aware of that. I believe Ford was quoting $2,000 for those who wanted to switch out to SYNC4.

This was this mornings email. Again, I have a MY24 XL Hybrid.

Unfortunately this is just the beginning of Ford making this whole process as clear as mud. In typical Ford fashion they send out emails to people who aren't eligible for this and people like @Packer Bill who are eligible didn't receive it.

Trust me this is just the beginning........but to answer your question is doesn't matter what the email says Robert your 2024 Maverick is not equipped with Sync4 so you are not eligible for OTA updates.
