Has any of the chosen few here actually seen the 13" screen in use? My current Maverick has the 8" screen and I don't like it, too small and more importantly hard to see on a sunny day and backlighting is poor even when turned up to max. I realize this may not be an issue for most but I am no spring chicken and I use my apple car play so I want a better screen.
We all have our priorities and thats one of mine so I may trade in my low mileage garage kept 22 XLT for a 25 just to get a better screen (if it's really better). 🙂

I had an escape as a loaner while my truck was getting oil change and updates performed. The screen in the escape is the same one (I think) that will be in the 25 Mav. It is very bright and very clear. I think you would be pleased with the upgrade on the 25 Mav.

FWIW, we put in our order for a '25 Mav this morning to replace our '22. The screen wasn't the determining factor; rather we just felt it was right.

I have a 23 lariat, and the 8 inch screen is easy to see. Maybe there is a setting to make it brighter? I don't know. I like the current layout because you have buttons and knobs for the radio. The 25 eliminates those,,,,,,,dumb.

Besides the larger real estate you are also getting Sync 4 which is sooo much nicer than the antiquated Sync 3. I have Sync 4 on my Bronco and it's no comparison to the Sync 3 on my Mav.

Agree many owners are happy with the 8" screen but being an old duffer it's just hard to see sometimes. This is my third Maverick and I didn't like the screen on the other two. :(

My dad has it in his 23 Lincoln Corsair. While it seems cool, I really hate not having physical buttons for the climate control as well as the heated seats and heated steering wheel just makes it more distracting driving down the road fiddling on a touch screen to find everything.

I do like the all new full digital gauge clusters on the 25 though.

If Ford would make offer the screen upgrade as a dealer option, I would pay to get it done. That's really the only thing that I want in my 23. vs 25. Everything else I could do myself, if I choose.

I am going to a local Ford dealer look at the vehicles that have the 13" screen and if I like it I may just go ahead and pull the trigger and order a 25 even thought most of the other 25 model year changes have little interest for me. Agree with a lot of others that the front end wasn't Fords finest hour but I cant see it when I am driving.:D

We have a ‘23 Escape with that screen.
I was easy to get used to the flow of the screens. And it is nice to between swap things (can have map on most, and radio on the right, the just swipe radio to swap them).
When I switch back-n-forth, between vehicles, the Mav does look small. 😄
Just like computer screens, once you have a bigger one, you can’t go back.

I also recommend finding an Escape with the instrument cluster the ‘25 Mav will have. It will be one without the 13” center screen.
No more dual ‘analog’ gauges. The RPM for Eco or power gauge for Hybrid, is a vertical bar on the left of the screen area. This pic shows the only way to get an ‘analog’ speedometer. And if you have anything showing, like trip or tire pressure, you lose the ‘analog’ portion as the digital slides left to make room.
