Add Widgets of choice.

When in your Maverick swipe left on the screen when in CarPlay.

I did that, but I just get the spinning wheel of death (ie it just spins forever, and no widgets appear). Any thoughts?

When I went to updates the OI26 update came up. Mine giving minutes left so must be working.

Updated my iPhone to IOS26 and the available widgets are immense. Fills out the screen nicely.

I just got my maverick, so I don't know what the old version was like, but yeah I like this system lot!!

My only gripe with the system (not technically the CarPlay part) is that swiping through pages in Ford SYNC 4 is inverse the touch standard, i.e. you swipe in the direction you want ago, rather than moving the current page away in the direction of your swipe. A very minor thing, I'll survive.

Battery drain issues are reported with iOS 26. Most techies say wait until 26.1.

That did it. Thanks for the suggestion. Not sure why I didn't think about it myself. Rebooting and deleting & reinstalling has been the "fix all" since the '80s.
