My experience with ride difference between an XL and XLT

So, let me get this straight. Someone who has only test driven an Xl and XLT and spent very little time in one, compared to me owning an XL and putting 2K on it within 2 months AND now owning an XLT with the LUX pkg, is telling ME that there's no difference in ride quality? Ummmm...I think not!! I know what I feel and how it sounds from personal experience!!

I do need to make one correction though. The tires that I said were Pirelli, WERE NOT Pirelli! My 35 year old son corrected me of that. He's a car geek. They were Michelin tires. I apologize for that. So, it appears that the the backyard and YouTube experts that are watching the reviews from influencers that spent ONE DAY in the Maverick are right? Ha!

There is no "adjustable lumbar support" in the XLT.

The XLT with Lux package has power adjustable lumbar support.

Hey man, I believe you. If you owned an XL for a while and now have an XLT, you will notice any differences more than the know-it-alls on this forum that have jumped between the two on a quick test drive.

And don’t bother commenting to those on here who claim to know what tires your XL came with. Ford could have very well been using two suppliers at the time. You know what your truck had. People are stupid.

Exactly . . . There could be several reasons why that could have happened. Do we even know if this XL wasn't a Fleet order that was backed out of by whoever ordered it? If the VIN number is still available I believe that would indicate it was a Fleet order. Did it have Cruse?

As for the ride . . . most likely just a trick on the brain. Am I the only one that after washing, waxing and detailing every vehicle I've owned it seems to ride better? Doesn't your lunch taste better when your wife makes it?

Boy's now settle down. If you like one over the other that's all that matters. I like blue and my girlfriend likes red but we don't argue about it.

Me too. Dealer had a xlt lux (non 4k tow) and the Lariat 4k tow that I test drove. Interior noise was more with the XLT lux. Lariat has stiffer suspension due to tow package. I have noticed that after 5000km the ride is not as stiff.

Most likely but in the OPs first post he does claim "It is definitely a smoother, quieter, and more comfortable ride than the XL.".

Now I can't say anything about the smoother or quieter opinion BUT I have driven many vehicles with and without lumbar support and the vehicles with lumbar support are always more comfortable. Especially if it's adjustable like in his Mav and on long trips.

Anyway, just my two cents.

Before making an uninformed claim, visible to the world, it's worth taking 30 seconds to Google.

Just to be clear, I’m stating a personal opinion, not a fact. This is only a personal observation. I’m sure everyone will have a different experience by their body composition. Don’t take things so literally when someone gives their opinion. Geese!
