Greetings All - my 23 XLT FX4 Eco-Boost in Cactus Grey - hoping to give anyone interested a solid review and 1st hand driving experience. I have restored 3 cars/3 British MCs - hate cheesy accessories and pot-metal parts - excellent quality inside and out - Typical buying experience- ordered 6 Jan 22 - delivered as a "23 on 18 Dec - this has XLT Luxury w/power sear, remote start via Ford Pass on cell - drop-in bedliner - I have seen factory bedliner coating - if I were dealing with saltwater sports and beach fishing/camping I would probably pick coating -but, it looks a bit... cheaper as car/wheel paint finish is pristine- the drop-in bedliner has gaps around floor tie-downs where corrosion might start at some point. I added a Rough Country semi-rigid bedcover - bedcovet prices are ridiculous frankly for this 4.5 bed - anyway at $239 plus tax it is a best buy and clean/tight as an $800+ Best Top convertible - delivered in 2 days free shipping- no tools install - can fold into one-third in seconds or remove in 3 minutes- BTW tailgate locks along with doors, so a bit of security... Got factory plastic floor inserts - tighter than any aftermarket mats. XLT includes hitch and bed powerplug - plugged android phone in and dash screen shows maps like an expensive navigation package - excellent capability- the money: msrp clocked at $31,600 - but factory rewarded our patient with a 1750 discount - so all of this under $30K! Drove from Texas to AZ and California 3000 miles in 10 days - went to see Rose Parade- drove out of Yuma AZ hit 40+ mph cross winds in Imperial Recreation Area - sand blowing across road in a 2-3 ft cloud - car tracked straight and true - 3 adults and 2 children - over the hills into Pasadena - heavy! rain and significantly reduced visibility - used hi-speed setting on wipers for 25min straight - haven't done that in 10+ years- again a secure experience for all. Power is exceptional - hit cruise control- blips up each mph from 70-80 with absolute zero shifting or engine stress - unobtrusive - only weakness and common to many this size is more noise than I like on chipseal roads. Holds 80 at about 2000 rpm - relaxed. So my previous vehicle was a 2019 Tacoma SR crewcab - perception is a foot shorter overall - interior room better, more distance to glass and around seats in every direction- and NVH of Toyota clearly a generation behind - pop-up rear seat just a light pull and locks - easy tug and back down - Toyota interior is quit constained - try putting a child seat in and you'll need to be under 5'8" to fit in front of the child seat - Ford has nearly 100hp more in Maverick, but that may not be such a difference with those that have the 6 cylinder Taco - solo I'm hitting 30-34mpg - with 5 people and luggage 24-27mpg at 70-75 mph - BTW it's in AWD 100% of the time - probably an issue for some in RV crowd- can't be flat towed, no transfer case - all wheels on trailer or on wheel dollies. Quote happy and value, room, power better than any class of car or truck

UPDATE: Added the DeeZee tailgate assist - $30 on line- Ford puts a parts sticker on it and sells for $50+ what dealer might charge in labor -exact same packaging. Don't bother too much with instructions- there are at least 4 good YouTube video installs - need/borrow a Torx 30 and 50 (not a popular size - most socket sets like Craftsman have a 55) - smooth and more in character with the truck. NOTE: It fits - I have drop-in bedliner - tailgate portion barely covers a Torxbolt you need to remove- I loosened up the tailgat cover bolt and all went in easy

I've had my xlt EB for a year now. 20k miles. Great little truck. I tow quite a bit ( motorcycles, tool trailer, lumber) and the power is impressive. Never touched the reset and average mpg is 27.1
In sport mode it's super fast! Thx Ford
