FWD or AWD?
More or less than 4,000 miles?

Both questions above make a difference.

I would guess around 35-38 mpg at 60 mph. Drive a little slower, on basically flat land, and you will get in the low 40's.

I would expect over 30. But I haven't had the opportunity to check at a steady 60. Most of my trips that include 60 also included long periods of 75-80, where I drop closer to 27.

AWD is a trifle lower as noted.
Terrain makes a big difference too.

So does temperature, wind, tire pressure and vehicle load being carried.

To get a close approximation for your vehicle while doing your 60mph, go to trip 1 or 2, and hold down the "OK" button to reset it. You will shortly have the mpg displayed for that speed.

Gently rolling hills and warm weather A/C off? 50MPG is possible.

Cold weather and mountain roads? 25MPG probably.

Flat terrain and A/C on, probably get EPA rating.

Too many variables here without specifics.

Close enough for you?
You will gain MPG if you are slow enough to allow the engine to go off sometimes. Above 60 the engine rarely stops unless it is steeply downhill.

Topography and the way you drive are also important. You will get lower MPG if you use cruse control on the hwy in my experience- since it doesn't take full advantage of the topography.

My maverick is very sensitive to wind. A slight 3-5mph breeze will add or subtract 1 to 2 mpg depending on head or tail

Yes. You are correct to expect MPG to happen while driving at 60 MPH.

I guess I won't complain about my '22 ECOboost/FX4/4K getting 35-38MPG on the highway between 72 and 75MPH. At 3-4 car lengths behind a semi at the same speed I can draft it to right around 40 (but I don't like being that close)
