Have these been tested in a brush type car wash? I bought the EGR's but have not installed them., the EGR instructions say not to use a brush type car wash with them. That's a no go for me, I wiil be returning the EGR's

I had the EGR "smoked" deflectors on for a week. I liked the large coverage area and that was about it. I didn't like that they were BROWN. Pictures are of EGR smoke versus AVS smoke. I also didn't like that the front windows dragged so bad it sounded like it was going to strip the gear of the window regulator. The rear set only held in with low quality double sided tape. And the real gripe I have or would have had if I hadn't read a warning in another thread, is that EGR leaves the acrylic casting with razor sharp points on either end. WTF? Even after sanding the edges down I managed to put a small slice in my driver's window weather strip. The packaging was terrible, it looks like they just put the visors in a plastic bag and throw them in a card board box, with instructions printed on a piece of office paper. Scratches all over them.
I am extremely impatient, so I sent them back and ordered a set of Nilight visors off of Amazon. I hate to say it because I know the EGRs are "made in the USA" and the Nilight come from China but the Nilights are superior in every way to the EGR's. Double sided tape on front and back visors. They utilize metal clips to prevent binding. Packaged very nicely, with extra double sided tape and a professional looking instruction booklet. NO RAZOR SHARP EDGES. They would be perfect except that for some reason the Maverick version smoked color is so dark it might as well be solid black.
I have spent way too much time, money and mental energy of window visors in the last two weeks.

We have metal clips with embedded fixing. As long as it's not a particularly violent car wash.

If it could blend in with the matte of the B pillar and tested to be sure there's no scratching or resistance of the window up/down I'd buy it

keep in mind the matte black would be opaque, not see through. This would increase the blind spot from at your a-pillar by increasing the width of the non-visible area.
