I use Griot's synthetic clay bar system on my 1950 Ford, 2007 mustang, and Maverick will be getting done when winter ends. Just follow the directions and all will be good. The synthetic system takes less than an hour to do.

I was very surprised the first time I opened the hood on my 1950 Shoebox and it has a prop rod. Only car in my stable with one.

At $500-$1500 at junkyards mine will become unsealed in a hurry if/when they fail, out of warranty. Utterly ridiculous.

I use motorcraft full synthetic. The truck has 10k, the oil had about 6k. Not to start oil wars, but I use Ford synthetic blend in my mustang (185k) and expedition(210k). My 1950 flathead gets Kendall racing oil.

This is after four days of short in town trips. So it's pretty normal on the short trips. I get the highway drive in every other week.

Here's the next morning. You can see a tiny amount of cream on the edge.

My 2010 expedition does this every winter here in Wisconsin. It has 210,000 miles. It used to bother me but it just keeps going. I use motorcraft synthetic blend in that and also the 2007 mustang which has 185,000 miles but no winters. I'll have to check the hybrid but I just ran it 170 miles today.

I use the back seats for 2 passengers everyday, sometimes three. I actually bought it for the daily school runs. And needing gas every six to eight weeks is great!

I have just pressed the max defrost button before I shut off the truck. Next morning I remote start and ICE turns on within 30 seconds. Works for me in Wisconsin cold

I bought a faraday box and two pouches. I thought I was safe. Today I accidentally pressed the horn button while the fob was in the pouch. The horn sounded. Shouldn't the faraday pouch be blocking that signal??

Funny, I had a car pull out in front of me last week, I hit the brakes so hard I thought my foot would go through the floorboard. No warning whatsoever. Just missed hitting that car. I don't trust the system at all .

It's not necessary to disassemble to paint, in my experience. I used G2 paint system. It's not too complex. Car raised, wheels off, clean calipers and brackets, paint 2 coats. It's actually applied using an acid brush and with no brush marks.
